Lelo flickering touch massage oil by LELO - review by Blonde

The LELO Flickering Touch Massage Oil can be used, obviously, for different kinds of massages. But be careful: this oil is for external use only and should not be used as a personal lubricant, as it is stated clearly in the instructions.

You can also use this oil as a body moisturizer. It contains vitamin E, a blend of apricot kernel, grape seed and jojoba oils that nourish your skin and leave it soft and smooth. The oil is scented, so it also makes your skin smell good. And if you want to give your skin some shimmer this oil will also make a great choice, because it contains 24 karat gold flakes, which leave your skin luminous and radiant.

The oil is very easy to use: you just shake it well, remove the protective cap and press the pump slowly to obtain the desired amount of massage oil. After that you just massage the smooth oil gently into your skin.

This oil is quite runny, but the bottle has a very convenient pump, so you can pump out just as much oil as you want, even a very little amount.



The oil pours easily from the bottle and spreads evenly on the skin.

The texture of this oil is very thin. It absorbs well into the skin, but stays long enough for an enjoyable massage. This oil is not greasy. If you rub it for enough time, it won't leave you with greasy or sticky feeling, but it will leave your skin feeling smooth and silky and moisturized. You will not need to wash it away.

As I said earlier the oil contains gold flakes. These flakes are tiny, so they will leave your skin with a very mild luxurious shimmer, and you definitely can't feel them.

The LELO Flickering Touch Massage Oil comes in three flavors: Spicy Clove & Amber; Balsam Fir & Bergamot; Fresh Lily & Musk. I have the Fresh Lily & Musk. To be honest, I expected something more "tasty". But after some thinking I understood that the scent is exactly as it meant to be. You can smell both floral scent of lily and earthy scent of musk. It is rich and luxurious, and I would even say expensive. And it is definitely pleasant. But if you like more intensive smells that makes you wanna eat the product, this would be definitely not your choice.

The scent lasts very long on the skin. However it is not too strong to be irritating and can be noticed only by you or someone who is standing very close to you.

I used this product as a massage oil and as a moisturizer, and I must say it performed great in both cases. When I was given a massage with this oil I enjoyed the scent and sensations. It lasted long and made my skin feel great. The massage became very soft and silky and I definitely enjoyed it.

When I gave massage to my partner, I was also enjoying it (as well as he did). Though the oil is thin and absorbs well into skin, it lasted long enough. And it left no greasy or oily feelings, so there was no need to wash it away.

As a moisturizer this oil also worked just perfectly. I used it after the morning shower and I enjoyed my soft, moisturized, well-scented skin during the whole day. And my partner also liked to touch my skin. The glitter was very noticeable in the sun, a little less noticeable under the artificial light, and I almost couldn't see it in the cloudy weather. All in all I really like how it looks.

The packaging is just gorgeous. It looks not like a massage oil, but rather a perfume. The oil comes in a black cardboard box. The box is partly glazed, partly matte. On the one side of the box there is a shadow-figure of the bottle in circle, which partly comes out to the allied side of the box. Also there is a company name in the same circle.



On the other side of the box there is a picture of the oil bottle. And on the last side there are instructions on 5 languages (English, German, French, Spanish and Italian) and the list of ingredients. The ingredients are: prunus armeniaca (apricot) kernel oil, vitis vinifera (grape seed) oil, simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, perfume (benzyl salicylate, linalool, d-limonene), gold powder (mica, titanium oxide, iron oxide, gold).



Inside the box there is the bottle itself. It is also black, with a golden pump and the cap that protects the pump. My cap is of lilaceous color, but they differ depending on a scent. The cap is circle-shaped and doesn't cover the pump fully, just the top so that it can't be pressed. There are no instructions on the bottle, just the name of the company, the scent, the volume (which is 120 ml / 4 fl.oz) and the web-site.





The pump can be unscrewed, so the bottle can be reused. Though the opening is quite small, so you will hardly be able to clean the bottle completely.



You should store the oil in a cool, dry place and keep out of reach of children and pets.

The moment I saw this oil in it's gorgeous bottle I wanted it. I had some difficulties choosing the flavor. I think they all should be great, so I've chosen Fresh Lily and Musk mostly because of the cap color - I love lilaceous.

When I got the oil I loved it even more. I didn't know about the gold flakes, so it was a pleasant surprise for me. This is the best massage oil I've ever had and I really enjoy using it. I definitely want to try all other flavors and continue using it further.
