Mmmm, mandarin!

Venus aromatic mist is a multi-purpose spray. I chose it as a body spray to compliment the bath products and lotion of the same scent but it just doesn't smell as strong as I would like. If you like light, subtle scents or get headaches easily from strong perfumes and sprays, then I'm sure you'll like this. I just had to rate it a 3 because I wanted the scent to stand out more.

Use

Venus Aromatic Mist doesn't really state a particular purpose on the product page so I guess you could use it for a number of things. A body spray, room spray, spritz some in your car, spray it on your bed sheets or even your furniture, whatever you desire!
I personally bought this for a body spray and to spritz some onto my hair brush to run it through my hair once to give it a light scent.
If you are using it as a body spray though, I would say this is more for women. They do offer a man scent if men are interested in a body spray. I just don't think many men want to run around smelling floral or fruity.
As for the other options of use, it can be used by anyone.

The ingredients of the spray are:
Aqua, Propylene glycol, alcohol, fragrance, DMDM hyndantoin, may contain FD&C yellow #6, FD&C Yellow, FD&C, FD&C Red # 33, Blue #1
Yes, yellow is meant to be on there twice, this is what it says on my bottle.

This mist has no phthalates, sulfates, triclosan, and is parabens free.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The spray I chose for review is the Mandarin Mango, it has a tangerine orange tint to the spray. When sprayed (by the pump top) it comes out in a light, fine, liquid mist. When applied to the skin it feels wet at first but quickly absorbs. It doesn't leave a sticky or greasy feeling behind. If you spray close, directly on the skin then there will be droplets and you will have to rub it in.
When sprayed on clothing, I would put a bit of distance between the bottle and you so it doesn't leave liquid marks, if it does, it dries quickly and it didn't stain.
I would say it is perfectly safe to spray on your sheets and furniture (not sure about leather though, so do that at your own discretion) and not worry about stains.

Taste / Aroma

Mandarin Mango smells light and fruity, like an orange or tangerine. I honestly do not know what a mango smells like so I am unable to comment on if that smell is present. When I smell it, it smells like sweet, juicy, oranges.
It is a pleasantly refreshing smell. It's light, not strong or overwhelming; just subtle.

Performance

How long the smell lasts just depends on how much you spray at one time and what you spray it on. Sometimes things smell different/last different amounts of time when spray on fabric as opposed to skin. I usually spray my arms (and legs if exposed) then give my outfit a nice couple of sprays. Like I said, the scent is light so if you are looking for a scent that will have people knowing you're coming from feet away, this isn't it. It may last a couple hours or so before needing to be reapplied. Depending on what size purse you carry, this could fit in it or you can leave it in your car if you need to freshen up again.
I don't use it for the other purposes that I suggested, so I cannot honestly comment on the duration of time the scent will last for those purposes.
I didn't feel the need to wash this off, it won't last all day with one application and any traces left (no matter how much you applied or how many times) will wash away in the shower or bath.

Packaging

The plastic bottle is cute and tasteful, it shows pictures of an orange and mango as well as what appears to be the figure of a woman filled in with orange liquid. The front also says Venus, lists the scent and states that it is an aromatic mist, a natural dead sea product. The back says "Fall in love with Venus refreshing aromatic mist. Set the mood with one spray." then it lists the ingredients, the website, the post address, a warning to keep out of reach of children and that it is for external use only.
The bottle contains 4oz of colored liquid (liquid color varies with scent), mine is orange. It has a black pump top with a black lid.

As I mentioned, depending on how large your purse is, you could put it in there. It will for sure fit in a suitcase or overnight bag.

Experience

I think the mist smells nice. I have allergy sinus issues sometimes that hinder how well I can smell things. Despite that, it just isn't as strong as what I like my sprays to be. I like the scent to be very noticeable but not nauseating or headache inducing. I think washing with the matching body wash or scrub or soaking in the bath salt, then applying the matching lotion and adding the spray helps it stand out more.

I also have the Pineapple Tangerine products and the mist for it is very light too.

It is great for those that like light, subtle scents or get headaches from stronger scents. When it comes to floral, those scents can bother my allergies and cause headaches, but fruit, spices, peppermint, and baked good scents don't bother me at all and I love for them to stand out. I was just a little bummed.

Would I buy the mist again? Probably not if I can find similar scents from another company (like Bath and Body Works). Would I buy the bath and lotion products again? Absolutely!

I hate to do it, but I'm gonna have to give this 3 stars just because the scent is too light and subtle for my liking. Sorry Venus!
Follow-up commentary
This mist smells good, but I wish it had a stronger scent :( I use the body wash, lotion and the mist to help bring the scent out more because the mist isn't very powerful.

    Thank you for your review!
I think it sounds just subtle enough to be a light citrus scent that my friend was asking for.
