Double dipped lip balm by Not Soap Radio - review by married with children

This is your typical lip balm, with a twist. It is two flavors in one. It gives your lips a hint of flavor, while protecting them from the elements. It can be used under you lip stick, or over the top. This can be used by anyone who is in need of some lip care. After all, you want to keep your lips soft for the bedroom activities with your partner.

This feels like a light carmex. Not as sticky, but similar feel. It is thick and hard, you do not get a glob hen you did your finger into the tin. You have to rub your finger over the balm and get it to coat your skin. It has a light oily feel to it. Not greasy, but like a lotion that contains oil; after you have rubbed it into your hands. You can tell there is something on your finger, but it is not too obvious by looking at it.

I like that it does not leave a heavy residue on your fingers after using it. Some balms you have to wipe your hands on a towel or wash them to get the balm off. With this balm, you just rub it into your other fingers, or wipe your finger on your pants/shirt and the residue is gone.

This is very smooth with no grit or texture to it.

The aroma was a bit off from chocolate and cherries. Not bad off, just not the same as if you had a plate of chocolate and cherries in front of you. The flavor was there, just kind of weak. But for me that is a good thing. It is on my lips for hours, I do not want a strong taste and aroma that covers up everything else. I just want something small and in the background, not overpowering. And this works great for that.

This lasted for a while on my lips. The taste lasted for longer then with flavored chapstick. I got about 1 hour of flavor out of the balm, before you could not tell what the flavor was any longer. The lip balm its self lasted for about 4 hours before needing to be reapplied. I do not lick my lips very often, so this length might differ for you. I was quite pleased with this balm.

This comes packaged in a small tin. The tin comes inside a small box. The box works well as a gift, or display box, but does not hold up well to everyday use. Just a few days inside my wife's purse, it it was beat up pretty good.

The lid does not stay on very well, at least on our tin. It might be different with yours. My wife can not leave this floating around in her purse, because the lid will come off and the balm will collect every piece of dirt and crap from the inside of the purse.

There were no instructions included with this lip balm. Not that you need any, but again if you have read any of my reviews; this is something that bugs me. A manufacturer should show they are about their customer by including any info they should need or want about the product they purchased.

I would like so see some more flavors coming out. I thought about getting the banana flavored one, but I hate the taste of artificial banana, and was afraid that it would taste like it that. Hopefully they add the their flavors in the near future.
