ID Pleasure lubricant is a water based lubricant with added stimulating properties. The lube contains gingko biloba and red clover, cause a tingling feeling and enhance sensation. Because of this, ID pleasure is good for clitoral stimulation and would work best with masturbation or any kind of genital stimulation (with toys, a partner, or otherwise), or vaginal intercourse. There is no reason why this lube couldn't be used for oral sex, but if you are looking for a strong flavor this is not the best option. Although I do not have experience with anal intercourse, I would guess that this lube would not be ideal as it is fairly thin. Because ID pleasure is water based, it would not be ideal for use in the shower or bath as the water would wash it right off.

Safety Notes:

This product is L-Arginine free. L-Arginine has been known to cause flare ups in individuals with STDs, so ID Pleasure is a safer options for those with such concerns.

ID Pleasure contains glycerin, which can cause yeast infections. I would recommend avoiding this product if you are highly susceptible to infections. Avoiding contact with the vaginal opening could decrease the risk of yeast infection.

As this lube is water based, it is safe to use with any kind of condom or toy.

I really enjoy the texture of this lubricant. It's thick enough so that it is not too runny, but thin enough that it feels natural. You can hold the bottle completely upside down and the product will not run out all over the place (assuming you don't squeeze, of course). It is very easy to control how much lube you want to squeeze out, so I've never had to worry about wasting it by pouring too much nor have I had any difficulty getting the desired amount of the bottle. I noticed a slight stickiness at first, but this disappears pretty quickly as it starts mixing with your natural lubrication. There is no sticky residue left once it absorbs into the skin. On the same note, I don't find this lube to be very greasy either. It is smooth and slick as it needs to be, but because it is water based, it's pretty light.

Both the aroma and the tasted of ID Pleasure are slightly sweet, but very subtle. In order to smell it, I had to put my nose right up to the bottle. When I tasted it (off my finger for the purposes of this review) it had a barely detectable sweetness. The taste is not at all unpleasant and this lube would be fine for oral sex, but if you're looking for something with a distinct flavor that's made to make oral more enjoyable, this is not the lube for you.

To frame my review a bit: I have only used ID Pleasure for masturbation with both my fingers and with toys. In both cases I didn't need to reapply (these were approximately 20 minute sessions—for anything longer, you might need to reapply). It absorbed into my skin very well and did not leave any sticky or greasy residue. I washed it off fairly quickly after using it because I am a little bit paranoid about yeast infections, but I did not feel like I needed to wash it off because of the feel it left.

This product shipped in a simple, clear plastic bag. There are no instructions included on the package, but this could be because I ordered the 1 oz. sample size. This size container is perfect for travel simply because it is tiny. You could easily slip it into a purse or bag. Additionally, I've found that the top does not pop open easily. I keep mine in a small zippered bag along with two vibrators and some other random things. This lube has been transported all over the place with me between school, home, and my boyfriend's house and not once has it come open in transit. I would definitely recommend this product and size for those of you who travel a bunch.

When I first applied ID Pleasure, I felt a slight tingling on my clitoris and directly below it. This was not an intense feeling at all, though. I noticed a little bit of increased sensitivity during stimulation, but again, this was only slight. I found the lack of tingling/sensitivity to be the only disappointing quality of the lubricant. However, this might be a good lubricant for people who are unsure about enhancing lubricants or who know they are extra sensitive.

This lubricant excelled in the areas of texture and endurance, though. I only needed to apply a small amount (a bit less than a dime size or so) one time. The lubricant mixed well with my natural lubrication and I did not need to reapply during a single session. The lubricant is not too thin or runny and I was surprised to find it did not leave any kind of residue. Because of this, I enjoyed my experiences with the ID Pleasure lubricant and will continue to use it.
