Much to my suprise! A toy before my eyes!
This item is worth its cost because of its dual purposes. Taking the sexual part out of this review for a second, the Wahl is a fantastic muscle reliever and its attachments work with just about any ache or pain you may have. It truly works for what it's designed for.My sister-in-law gave us the model that includes heat. The only difference from the one Eden carries is that p/n 1107 nub attachment from our p/n 1105 heat element.

I, being somewhat new to this site, was paging around and exploring and came across the Wahl 2-speed massager. We received a Wahl from my sister-in-law a couple of days after my husband came home with severe back spasms, severe enough that it once took him 35 minutes to get up from a chair. She came over and said that they bought this a while back for her husband when he had the same problems. Well, after guiding him upstairs and having him lie down on the bed, I proceeded to try the different attachments until we found one that was most agreeable. All these attachments work like magic for what they are intended for! It didn't completely resolve his back issue but made it able for him to function around the house with considerably less pain.
All pieces can be attached and removed very easily. The attachments are all latex-free/phthalates-free/hypoallergenic plastic. All these pieces can be cleaned and sterilized by washing with hot water or a very quick boil of the pieces and then cleaning them with a lint free cloth or letting air dry.
The Wahl WE have is Tan in color and is an older model than that of Edens gray model! Ours is 6 and 1/2 inches by 3 inches, weighs about two pounds, made of PVC, has a high/low switch and has an attached spiral outlet cord where Edens is a straight cord. Since ours is the model with heat, we have 7 different attachments with our that include:
• a round 2 1/4 inch suction cup device for facial massages which is plastic,
• a 1 3/4 inch suction cup for foot massages which is plastic,
• a 2 1/8 inch round scalp massager that has little plastic nibs or fingers on it which is plastic,
• a 2 1/2 inch round hard plastic housing with a metal beveled bottom or base that is used for heat applications,(This piece is the heating element (part number 1105)and is what came with our model.) Edens model does not comes with a heat element and has round nub piece instead and its part number is 1107.
• a plastic wedge-like piece 1 5/8 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches long for knuckle joint pain,
• a plastic rippled piece used for muscle kneading which is the same size as the wedge,
• and a general body massager that's round, 1 1/2 long, and 1 1/4 wide that has two circle rings with a round nub in the middle.
Now obviously my husband is feeling better and uses it when he needs it. Since reading some of the previous reviews a window became open for me to explore Wahl's "other" options and I use it when I need it.

Experience
When I used the Wahl for the first time for pleasure purposes, I was like a kid in a candy store. I didn't really know what to expect but had a feeling it was going to be good. I first tried the two suction cup looking devices "meant" for the face and the foot. I immediately placed them over my breasts and nipples. I tried high speed but the vibrations were too intense and made me feel like I could end up lactating, something I hadn't done in years. Low speed gave just enough vibe for me. The larger 2 1/4 inch one worked great for massaging my breast, while the smaller 1 3/4 one felt wonderful when pressed over my nipples. They tingled well after I moved the Wahl over to my clit for some vaginal play.
I found 5 of the pieces work extremely well for vaginal and clitoral play with the exception of the rippled piece for kneading and the general massager with the rings. My preferences go as follows, 1) My heat massager attachment on low (the device will get very warm if used too long)but feels wonderful, 2) the wedge between the lips as it nestles in just under the clit and used on low, 3) the large cup directly over my entire pussy, 4) the scalp massager with the nibs when lightly moving over my entire pussy masturbation style, and 5) the little cup directly over my clit, although it works best for nipple play.
The two differently sized cups and the heat massager work the best for breasts and nipples, as well as for ass cheek play.

wahl for someone who needs to be discreet?

i'm considering giving my partner some special gifts for her birthday next year and introducing her to toys (she's not nearly as adventurous as i am.) i want a classic vibrator for her so that she can familiarize herself with what she likes, and the wahl massager looks pretty perfect for that.
her bedroom is upstairs in an old house and i'm wondering if, from anyone who has experience with the massager; it could be heard downstairs when being used in an upstairs room. i don't have any way to test with toys of my own, as my house is very different from hers and we're rather long-distance right now. i want to gift her something awesome, not something that could lead to an awkward situation with her family )8
any experiences with the noise the wahl makes would be appreciated! the same goes for other classic/versatile vibrators. thanks! -

yeah, the power may prove too much for her. i know she has sensitivity problems like i do (where she needs a LOT of stimulation) but i don't know what her definition of 'strong' vs 'too strong' would be, especially only having used her hands before!
the beginner kit looks ideal, but she has a really limited cashflow and keeping it in batteries would be hard :( maybe i'll surprise her with a mia instead? it's rechargeable, and while it's not as versatile as an insertable it would probably be way less intimidating than the wahl for now :D

I find the Whal two speed is best for one reason, the pounding high setting which is the best I've experienced. I haven't found any other vibrator with the same vibration frequency and including the other Whals.

I'm done with the battery scene and looking for something more substantial but I want a vibrator with the right type of vibrations. One review said this product had a "buzzy" setting opposed to the Hitachi with deep throbbing vibrations. What are other comments on they type of vibrations this massager has? Living in a dorm, I need a more quit toy than the Hitachi but would also prefer the deep vibes. Thanks very much for the input

It is quiet when muffled but I still wouldn't use it with a roommate in the room! I would look into the Mystic Wand as well before I made a purchase. Or one of the Fairy Massagers. Good luck! -

It seems no one is concerned about the Pthalates in the PVC attachments for this thing (material safety 2). Am I missing something?
