Flickering touch massage oil - oil discontinued by LELO - review by ~LaUr3n~

Intro/use:

Oh LELO, you are constantly outdoing yourself. This oil is as luxurious as it can get, unless you can find an oil that has diamond powder in it! This multi-purpose massage oil literally has 24 karat gold flakes in it! There are three wonderful scents to choose from. They are not overwhelming making this a great oil to use as a moisturizer to go out in. It adds a bit of shimmer and can even be an after tan buffer, tattoo darkener, or of course an intimate massage oil. I prefer to use it as a beauty item, not necessarily a sexual one for massages. It makes my legs feel sexy and adds a bit of glow that is subtle enough to not look like you just walked out of a Limited Too store.

Ingredients:

It contains very luxurious and unique ingredients that are natural and non-irritating. They are free of L-Arginine, petro chemicals, parabens, and glycerin, so it is very safe for the body. It contains: Apricot kernel oil, grape seed oil, jojoba seed oil, perfume, gold powder (Eden's product page neglects to include the most amazing ingredient!). These ingredients have a lot of vitamin E!

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity:

This oil is thick and somewhat hard to spread around large areas. It will stay in place for the most part and might run a bit, but it's unlikely it will do it fast enough to drip off before you get to massaging it in. When it comes out it is clear with a lot of gold coloring which is really cool, because you can see the gold flake powder very easily. The oil is smooth and not grainy like you may think it would be by containing a powder of gold flakes. After being smoothed in, it doesn't feel as smooth as some of my other oils make me feel. It doesn't make you feel as smooth as silicone lubricants will either, but it does a good job none the less. It feels a tiny bit gummy if the environment you are using it in is humid.



Taste/Aroma:

There are three exotic scents to choose from: Spicy Clove & Amber, Fresh Lily & Musk, and Balsam Fir & Bergamot.

It took me a long time to buy this product (got it last Christmas by the way), because I couldn't decide on a scent. It's hard to buy expensive scented items online even if there are reviews. One scent is different from person to person. I finally chose the Balsam Fir and Bergamot after looking up what the hell Bergamot is. Balsam Fir I am familiar with since it is the Christmas tree type my family and I get every year. It smells the best and has a very earthy, strong pine scent. Bergamot is a fruit in the citrus family that is yellow like a lemon but smells like an orange.

The smell is not very strong. I have to have my nose within about 6 inches to smell it. I really like it though. It mostly smells of orange type citrus, while good, is not what I expected. I was a little disappointed because I though the masculine Balsam fir and the feminine Bergamot would be an amazing pairing. It's mostly the citrus. The scent lasted a pretty decent amount of time though! It lasted at least 3 hours each time I used it. It's smell was faint, but you could smell it if the area was kissed. I did not taste the oil.

Performance:

As a massage oil, I found that a lot of the product was needed to really get a good area covered. I didn't like this for a few reasons. 1. This shit is expensive. I'm not really thrilled to be putting this on my partner's back where it is not going to be seen and having to use a ton to do so. I'll use a different oil if I can. 2. It takes a lot longer than I'd like to massage in if I don't want to feel a little gummy afterward. I do love how it feels during a massage, though. I just don't want to have to use that much product to get the job done just for a massage. With other oils I only need about a nickle sized amount to cover my partner's entire back. With this it was about 3 times the amount.

This brings me to another thing that I was bummed about. The oil gets dispensed in nickle sized pools as they squirt from the bottle. It would be so much better if it sprayed out in a mist to cover more area without having to be smoothed out. It does smooth well, however.

I prefer to use this on my legs when I am wearing shorts, skirts, or a short dress. It gives my skin a healthy glow and gets rid of any dry looking parts. It's an excellent after tan buffer to rehydrate the skin as well. On my legs, it doesn't feel as gummy. It feels amazing actually. I would keep this oil away from areas that have a lot of sweat glands... the back is one of those places. In my opinion it is better as a beauty item than anything else. So use it on the tops of your shoulders, collar bones, mid drift, and/or legs to create a sexy shimmer. It lasts for a really long time! I can put this on in the beginning of the day and still see the shimmer at the very end of the day.

Packaging:

The packaging is what made me look at this product in the first place. It comes in a GORGEOUS black, glass bottle about the size of a large perfume or cologne bottle. It contains 4 fluid ounce of the amazingly luxurious oil. It really does look like a perfume bottle too and this makes the bottle very discreet. It says LELO in gold lettering on the front with the scent and "Flickering Touch Massage Oil" in very small letters beneath that. The bottom has the born date. The top has a spray nozzle only it doesn't spray mist, it squirts. The cap is very unique and original. It corresponds to the scent, in my case, green. It is a ring that fits over the sprayer to keep it from being sprayed, but still allows for the gorgeous gold color to be seen when not in use.

All of this comes in trademark LELO like black box. The pictures on the box and the way it is presented also make it look like perfume. The box has information about the ingredients and how to use the product. Shake it well before use!

Conclusion:

I LOVE this stuff! It's so incredibly sexy in its design, scent, and ingredients. Just knowing I have gold ON my body makes me feel like a goddess vixen. I'm giving this product 4 stars for the simple fact that I feel it is better as a beauty item than a sensual massage item. The oil works well for smaller areas and not ones that really need the oil to be rubbed in. I prefer to shine up my legs than use this lovely oil on my body or my partner's body in places it won't be seen by others. I also wish the nozzle misted instead of squirted so that it would better work as a beauty item, but alas, I'm happy with my LELO oil purchase and I would love to get another scent when this runs out. It's an excellent gift, so I'll be giving it to friends in the future. LELO did this one up as classy as possible and it's a solid product.

I absolutely love this stuff! It is one of the best non-toy products I have gotten off of Edenfantasys. I use it weekly, at least. Sometimes I use it almost every day. I used it often when it was warmer. Now that it is getting colder, I am using it less for daily use type things and more for intimate pleasure as it is intended. Either way, I am still very satisfied. I can't wait to try another scent.
