Dona shimmer body spray - shimmer discontinued by System JO - review by MissAdara

I recently ordered Dona Shimmer Body Spray – Shimmer (Blue Lotus) and was so disappointed!
I am a fan of most Dona products and have gotten "pheromone" and aphrodisiac items and they smelled great! Unfortunately, there was no scent, whatsoever. Nada, zilch. And while there wasn't an excessive amount of glitter, as I first feared, there wasn't anything about this that impressed me.

I could buy the same thing in a cheaper bottle at Wal*Mart. Granted, $10 isn't the monthly earnings, but 10 dollars for something you would have been better off not ordering? Well, I wouldn't rave and brag on it, nor recommend it to anyone.

While reading the information, I became really excited. The information listed that Dona Shimmer Spray was infused with aphrodisiacs and moisturizing oils, and acted as a lotion that absorbed quickly into the skin to seal in the moisture. My issue; it seemed to dry up quickly, which is good because then you don't have a greasy feeling, but I wouldn't say it moisturized. It didn't leave my skin feeling any different than before I used it.

What really caught my attention was the natural and naturally derived ingredients, such as Dead Sea salts, ginseng, and beeswax. And I liked the biodegradable aspect. The bottle and the design was also visually pleasing. It looked great, though I didn't read enough reviews, otherwise I probably would have changed my mind!


As a 5 dollar gift, it isn't bad, but it is just too lacking for me to like anything about it. It just screams "cheap" and while I'm still a Dona fan, this is one product they can ditch, in my opinion.

If you want a little glitter, but not look like Tinkerbell was crushed on your chest, this may be for you, but I would strongly recommend shopping around. There are plenty of different brands of body spray, and I can't really see them being any less fantastic.

I'm still not at all a fan of overpaying for a very lackluster product. I haven't even seen it since the day I bought it.
