I'm personally not sure. However, if you are concerned about the ingredients, you can do an internet search on them and possible side effects. Any product can pose a threat for sensitive skin allergies. If you purchase these types of items, it's a good idea to test a small amount before applying liberally to be on the safe side.

This may not be an allergic reaction, because I see that menthol is listed as the fourth ingredient. Menthol is quite powerful! The sensation may have simply been too strong for the tastes of your partner, which is good to know, because I've always been wary that I might have a similar reaction to stimulation products with menthol in them.
Allergic reaction probably isn't the correct phrase. But, there was a definite reaction to whatever it was. To get it in perspective nothing so serious that a shower couldn't sort it out.... As I said in the review just not for us.
