Not The Cherries!
Overall I'd say it is worth it, (Anything for a massage!) just make sure you get a scent that you can tolerate.Published: August 20, 2010
Pros:
light, non-greasy
Cons:
Not a fan of the scent.
While it's not likely that I would purchase this for myself, my husband and I received this as a gag type gift a while back.
The flavor /scent that we received was the cherry. Number one problem with this, I don't like cherry scented or flavored things. My husband however cannot get enough, so it was a good pick for him. For me the initial scent and flavor reminds me of medicine. I really wish we had received a different flavor.
That being said the scent really isn't over powering, but I find that when the scent starts fading it smells kind of weird. I put some on my arm to try to figure out a way to describe it...and it's escaping me. It's almost like a waxy type scent.
I do not like the container. I wish they had packaged it in a tube. Since it's in the tub you have to be very careful during those late night massages that it doesn't get knocked over. (Been there done that!) Plus I really don't like dipping my fingers into the jar and getting the lotion under my nails.
The consistency is light, we don't find it to be oily or sticky in the least. Which is always a plus! The jar is a generous seven ounces, and a little tends to go a long way. So one jar has lasted us quite a while.
The flavor is kinda funky. Other than massage we like to incorporate it into mutual masturbation and oral sex. Like many women I really really REALLY do not enjoy giving oral sex, so using the massage cream during mutual masturbation helps with the scent and adds a little flavor which makes it a bit more tolerable for me. Which in turn makes my husband that much happier.
I'm going to have to try a different flavor at some point!

Does the Shunga massage cream smell like yogurt?
-
I've tried the Kama Sutra Body Souffle's and they smell like yogurt. Do these smell like that too? Or are these more sugary/candy like? I really don't like the yogurty smell, it's just not my thing. Also when you rub this in does it start to pill up like the Kama Sutra does? Thanks.

In general Shunga products are more candy like than Kama Sutra's. The one I have from Shunga, the cherry one, doesn't smell like yogurt at all. To me it smelled (and tasted) a lot like candy, you can read my review on it here. This one seems to soak in like a regular lotion would, only it tastes better.

I don't think they smell like yogurt! I found raspberry kiss, vanilla, and cherry scents in this body butter quite enjoyable!

Thank you for viewing Shunga massage cream review page!

Thanks for the review! Do you think that this is OK for sensitive skin?
Did you wash it off afterward or did it absorb into your skin? Is it easy to clean if it spills/ does it stain? Did you find that a little went a long way/ you had to apply it frequently?
Nice review! I hope you like the next scent more
My husband has very sensitive skin, and he's never complained.
A little does seem to go a long way, at least for us. We've had our tub for 6 months and it's only about half gone....granted we haven't been able to use it as much as we'd like.
I'm not too sure on staining...sorry when we had our oops it was on a dark towel.
It's usually the next morning before we wash it off. Sometimes I'll do a quick sponge down prior to actually going to bed.
/nice Review All those years of cherry flavoured medicines would also put me off I think!
That sucks that you had to endure smelling cherries, but at least you got to take your mind off of it with a good massage =)
Thanks for the review. Welcome!
Good review. Maybe another would work for you, I hate cherry too. I wonder why this was given as a gag gift though, I actually think it'd be quite a nice gift!
Thanks for the review
Thanks for the great review. I enjoy more "candy like" things, and LOVE strong scents. So does my hubby, and thus will likely enjoy these. Am ordering some.
Great review!
Good review...
