Not worth the money

Unless you don't mind paying too much for a shaving product that you don't get many shaves out of, then I would recommend you skip past this here at Eden and at the local retailer. I just don't feel this stuff is worth the crazy price. You can get a way better product at a cheaper price. If you don't like throwing away your money, then get something else. A good bit of this ends up in the trash because it sticks to the sides. Totally not worth it.

Use

EOS's Ultra moisturizing shave cream is a shaving product made to help moisturize your skin and help protect against cuts and annoying bumps after shaving. You can use this cream to shave any body part that you desire. Though it is targeted more for women and stalked in stores in the women's area, men can use this too.

For people with sensitive skin and allergies to perfumed products, I suggest buying the unscented, which is the cream I chose.

The ingredients are:
Water (Eau), Mineral Oil (Huile Minerale), Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Triethanolamine, Cetyl Alcohol, Petrolatum, Glucono Delta Lactone, Sodium Benzoate, Dimethicone, Glyceryl Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Carbomer, Fragrance (Parfum), Disodium EDTA, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter(, Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylene Glycol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Linalool, Butylphenyl Methylpropional

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The consistency is different from any other shaving product I have used. It literally is a cream, sort of like a thin lotion (not thick like Bath and Body Works), it isn't runny (unless you get it just a slight bit wet) and stays in place well. It feels smooth and creamy and absorbs well into the skin, almost too well. It isn't greasy or sticky and feels nice and light when applied to the skin.

It is easy to dispense from the pump top container until you get down to the last bit. Once it gets down to about the bottom, good luck getting it out! I beat the bottom with my hand, beat the sides, left it standing upside down for hours before use to get the last of the product out and yet when I looked inside the bottle, there was still what I felt, a good bit left stuck to the sides. I even squeezed the sides of the bottle, put the end of the bottle to my skin to create a suction and it STILL didn't clean the bottle out.

Taste / Aroma

This product isn't meant to be ingested.

The scent I chose was unscented and there really isn't a scent to me, other than that similar to and unscented lotion. This doesn't leave a scent on your skin and won't bother your nose and head with a headache inducing scent.

Performance

You can use the product wet or dry, I have only used it wet. I have never tried shaving with anything unless my legs were wet first. It goes on easy, but I felt you have to use a good bit to coat your entire leg, even if you don't have it so thick your whole leg is white (like with a shave foam). I try to use the least amount possible and this stuff still runs out pretty quickly.

It does help for a smooth shave, but I wish it was thicker or foamed up, or SOMETHING. I never experienced irritation to my skin after using it to shave. To me, it wasn't thick enough to shave the "nether region", so I added a coat of Coochy shave cream first, then applied this cream- I don't want to take any chances of cutting myself or getting razor burn because there wasn't enough product on my skin.

It washes off easily. That's another sort of con about this. If you get your skin TOO wet, then it sort of slides off your skin and you have to reapply it or apply a thicker coating.

For the price, I just don't feel like you get enough uses. One bottle will cover 3, MAYBE 4 shaves for me, and that involves arm pits and one use a bottle for my "lady parts". Whereas, if I buy a shave gel, foam, or foaming cream of the same size bottle, I get more uses out of them and I don't have to use a TON of product. When I'm shaving one leg using EOS, I think I use about 5 pumps to get enough on my leg to create a barrier all over between the razor and my skin. It absorbs well into the skin and washes off very easily.

As mentioned before, when you get down to less than half of the bottle, it's hard to get it all out. I feel that a couple or few pumps end up in the trash can because it's stuck all to the sides and no amount of beating the bottom with your hand or against the tub will get it all to come out. Even leaving it standing upside down won't bring all the product out. For the price and the fact that I don't get many shaves out of this, I try to get it ALL out and get my moneys worth. Even the thickest bottle of lotion, when it's beat on the bottom of the bottle, will be almost completely emptied out. For that reason, I wouldn't recommend this stuff to a friend and I wouldn't pay actual hard earned cash for it- I got mine with Eden points.

Another thing I noticed that I didn't like is that if some gets sloshed off an falls onto the shower wall or side of the bath, it sticks there and doesn't come off as easily as a foam or gel. I have to take the shower head and aim it directly on the spots to get it off and sometimes have to take my finger to wipe it off.

Packaging

The bottle is nice, I prefer it to the metal cans, but I think that the plastic bottle may be the reason that the product sticks easily to the insides of the bottle. There are grooves in the bottle that help aid in gripping it.
The pump top is nice too, until you get down to the last bit of product, then you have to unscrew it and take it off and shake the product out of the bottle. A little bit of information and list of ingredients are listed on the back of the bottle.

Experience

I just don't think this product is as great as many of the reviews on it claimed for it to be. I feel like you have to use entirely too much of it on just one leg! I also don't like that a good bit of product ends up in the trash because it won't come out. And you can't do what you may do with shampoo to get it all out, which is add some water to it, if you do that then it just wastes it because it comes rushing out and isn't a decent consistency to stay on the skin to shave with.

In all honesty, a cheap $2-$3 bottle of sensitive skin, unscented gel or foaming cream works way better for me. I'll be going back to my Gillette Satin Care Gel for sensitive skin that is also fragrance free. I get way more shaves out of it and it lathers well and doesn't slosh off or absorb quickly into the skin before you can shave.
Follow-up commentary
I have a couple bottles left that I got on while on sale before trying it. After that, I won't be getting anymore of this stuff. It just isn't worth the price or the time it takes. It sloshes off skin easily if you don't rub it ASAP. It just annoys me. Don't recommend.

That is so disappointing I had ordered this because everything else I get is out. Thanks for sharing!

What a shame! For the amount of use I get out of a can of Skintimate shave gel, I can't see any reason to pay double for less.

Thanks for the great info! I'm wondering if the fragrance of the scented ones is part of why they're popular.

The price is ridiculous. And the pump top bottle, I'd rather have a bottle where you squeeze the product out. It's really annoying having to literally beat the bottle off the side of the tub trying to get as much as I can out. I'd hate to know how much actually gets trashed. I've left it upside overnight and it still didn't bring it all to the lid...

I agree with you on this one--it was a waste and there are definitely better products out there.

You're right, ShadowedSeductress. I mean it obviously sells or they'd take it of shelves and I've seen it at WalMart for a long time.
