Now This is My Kind of Vanilla Sex
Everything KamaSutra makes is high quality, from the ingredients they use to the packaging, and this is no exception. This is a wonderful body cream that when used sparingly leaves a lovely soft scent and delicious taste on the skin.Published: November 16, 2009
Pros:
Pleasant scent and taste, leaves skin soft and not greasy, makes a great body cream.
Cons:
Absorbs too quickly for massage cream, bad taste if you use too much.
My husband and I went through a sensuous body products phase a while back. Several of the products we bought were by KamaSutra, including one of my personal favorites, the French Vanilla Body Souffle. We recently spent an evening enjoying these again and my love for this product was quickly rekindled.
The very first time I opened a tub of this my first thought was that it smelled exactly like vanilla frosting. Thoughts of slathering frosting on myself, or my hubby, immediately sounded delicious and inviting. But actually once applied to the skin, the scent is much lighter and even more pleasant. And the taste is a bit more of a lightly sweet vanilla. Care needs to be taken though, because this is not a truly edible cream, and if you use too much, the taste of the ingredients that make it an excellent body cream can overpower the vanilla, which I found out the hard way. I slathered it on my husband thinking he was going to taste like a frosted vanilla cake, instead he tasted terrible. But once we wiped some of it off, he was soft and delicious.
The look and texture of the body souffle reminds me of vanilla pudding. It is thicker than a lotion but not as thick as a body butter. This is meant to be used as a massage cream or body cream. As a massage cream it's not bad, it has a nice smooth light texture and feels great rubbing it in, but it does disappear much quicker than a body oil. As a body cream, this stuff rocks! It absorbs in completely and fairly quickly, leaving just soft, smooth, very touchable, tasty skin. This is not at all sticky or tacky, and you don't feel like you have a layer sitting on top sealing in your skin. As I said before, if you use too much it tastes bad, but you really don't need much, a little goes a long way with this product. I prefer to rub it into my skin just before we're ready for an evening of lovemaking. So when he touches me, I'm nice and soft. And when he kisses my skin, he gets a nice surprise. The French vanilla also goes really nicely with the KamaSutra Honey Dust over it. The Honey Dust is a bit sweeter and the two flavors blend very nicely together.
One word of warning, the KamaSutra Body Souffle is for external use only, and is not meant to be used as a lubricant. It does contain ingredients that are not meant for internal use, including glycerin which in some people can promote yeast infections.
The ingredients in the body souffle are the same you would find in most nice bath and body products. The Body Souffle comes in a 7.5 ounce plastic jar, and is packaged so beautifully that you can leave it out for display with all of your other nice jars and bottles. Because this absorbs quickly and is a water based cream, it washes off easily and will not stain your clothing or bedding. There are four different flavors to choose from; chocolate creme brulee, cool mint creme, strawberry creme, and french vanilla creme. So far I've only tried the vanilla, but I'm looking forward to trying them all.

Even though I recently reviewed this we have owned it for about a year now. And I do want to mention that it hasn't gone bad in all that time. it still tastes and smells great! So don't worry about having to use it up quickly. Which is a good thing because it's a pretty big jar and you don't need a lot.

Thank you for viewing Body souffle – edible body butter review page!

Sounds yummy!!! Great review.
Thanks miss.heather!
The thing that kept me from buying body souffle was the Honey Dust. It looked, smelled, and tasted like cornstartch. I couln't detect a flavor at all. Atleast it is thin and good for blotting up greasy little faces. And the packaging is wonderful even though the product was lame. Another reason I did not give the Souffle as presents where the array of similar products at Sephora that smell quite zccurately and strongly of confections although they are not edible per se. I've never gone around licking people. But really good review.
Misha's, I'm not totally understanding. The souffle and the honey dust are separate products. But I know the honey dust can smell a bit when you first open the package.
The body creams at Sephora are similar in consistency but have no flavor.
Thanks!
Oh, num. Vanilla frosting!
Great review!
Thanks Sammi!
These sound excellent! Thank you for your review
I've really been into body products lately. Maybe I should consider more KS stuff.
Yeah I've recently had a renewed interest in them too. Thanks Adriana!
I love the sound of these body butters, especially as a surprise addition for a date! It'd be a great little shock to plant a kiss on someone's neck and find they actually tasted as good as they smelt. However, I really don't need 7.5 fl. oz. of one flavour, I'd like to mix and match, or just have a smaller jar to stop the excitement from wearing off.
Thanks for the yummy review, it made me crave some vanilla icing and cake!
Thanks Sundae!
