Luxury bathing gel - bath and shower gel by Kama Sutra - review by Dawn (Lilac Distraction)

This wonderful bathing gel is amazing for use as a bubble bath or as a body wash in the shower. It has replaced my normal body wash because of the amazing scent and how soft and luxurious it has left my skin. This is an excellent bathing gel to use while getting clean with your partner, as well, due to the gender-neutral scent that isn't too feminine or masculine.

The ingredient list isn't the best one out there, but if you look at most body washes, you'll see that it has a pretty normal formula for that type of product. Yes, it contains glycerin and parabens, but it's not going inside you, so it shouldn't be a problem. I've used this for bubble baths and I have a 'delicate ecosystem' but it hasn't caused me any issues. If you're worried about it, don't use this for genital washing. Here's the fill ingredient list:

As you can see, there are quite a few lovely skin-conditioning oils, which leave your skin super soft and sexy. As someone with dry sensitive skin, I'm highly impressed with the formula and prefer this over the other body washes I have for dry skin specifically.

I actually have this in a slightly smaller bottle with a click-open cap, but I do want the larger bottle with the pump-top on it for even easier application. The bathing gel is comparable to the thickness of most other body washes. You can apply it to a sponge or loofah without it running off, but it's not super thick like a hair gel would be. When applied to the skin, it's very smooth and lathers very well to make you feel ultra clean. When rinsed, it leaves behind nothing but a lovely scent and soft, smooth skin without feeling oily like some moisturizing body washes, or tacky and dry like others.

I really think this has to be my absolute favorite fragrance ever. I purchased this in a set with the Kama Sutra Treasure of the Sea bath salt and both smell very similar and have a scent I can't get enough of. It's a bit difficult to pinpoint the scent exactly, but it's very crisp, fresh, and aquatic. It has been referred to as a "blue-green" scent. It's not too feminine or floral, and it's not one of those potent masculine scents. It's really great for people of either gender because it works no matter who you are. I really can't even explain how much I love this amazing scent. Every time I'm in my bathroom, I have to take a sniff of it because it's THAT good! I find it to be incredibly soothing and relaxing.

After bathing, the scent lingers lightly on the skin for an extended period of time. It's not totally overpowering, though. It usually stays for an hour or two and fades with time. It's about the same as applying a nice scented lotion. I love using this when I'm getting all cozy with someone because I know I'll smell pretty and I've gotten lots of compliments on it.

With this bathing gel, you only need a little to wash your entire body. I use about a dime-sized amount to do the job. (The smaller 4 oz. bottle I have has lasted me for months and months and I use it every time I bathe.) When used as a body wash, this gel has a rich lather, but it's not too soapy. As a bubble bath, it's exceptional. It creates a whole tub of bubbles! Mine usually last longer than my bath does! It's actually helped my skin, too. I know I can wash with this and not have to run out of the shower and put lotion on because it doesn't dry out my skin like other "novelty" body washes have.

The biggest thing I love about this one, though, is the scent. I mean, I just can't get over how wonderful the Ocean Blu scent is. I wish I could find it in lotion and perfume, as well!

The bottle is actually pretty discreet. The Ocean Blu is a lovely blue color and the only real text (other than the information and ingredients on the back) is the "Kama Sutra" name and that it's a bathing gel. This one may not cause too much alarm in anyone.

Other than the wonderful moisturization properties, this bathing gel is excellent for aromatherapy. I could be having the worst day ever, but when I get in a bathtub full of this, or even use it in a shower, I'm uplifted, but very relaxed.
