Ultra moisturizing shave cream - shaving foam discontinued by Evolution of Smooth - review by AshMegYo

I use this shaving cream on my legs, underarms, and bikini area. I use it as a wet shave because I am definitely not a fan of dry shaving because of how incredibly dry my legs are. Being as I have such dry skin on my legs, this is a great moisturizing shaving cream and keeps them relatively smooth for me.

The only product I have ever used that was anything relatively close to this was the Moisturizing Cream Shave for Dry Skin by Skintimate (I believe). I liked the Skintimate brand just because it had a shaving cream specifically for my incredibly dry legs, but after using this, I don't think I'll ever be using that again. This allowed me to get out of the shower feeling nice and smooth and not having to pack on so much lotion to keep my legs moisturized. Before receiving my EOS shave cream I was just using my Venus razor and water (I had ran out of shaving cream and never went to get more).

There are quite a few ingredients in the EOS shaving cream, I have them all listed below:
Water (Eau), Mineral Oil (Huile Minerale), Glycerin, Stearic Acid, Glycol Stearate, Gluconolactone, Triethanolamine, Cetyl Alcohol, Petrolatum, Sodium Benzoate, Dimethicone, Glycol Stearate, Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Carbomer, Disodium EDTA, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Avena Sativa (Oat) Kernel Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Ascorbyl Palmitate, Tocopheryl Acetate, Propylene Glycol, Alpha-isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Salicaylate, Butylephenyl, Methylpropional, Geraniol, Hydroxycitronellai, Hydroxyisohexyl 3-cyclohexene carbocaldehyde, Limonene, Linalool, Violet 2 (CI60725), Red 40 (CI16035).

If you have any allergies whatsoever to something listed above, I wouldn't recommend this to you. A lot of these ingredients sound like horrible chemical names. The product's description mentions that it is 97% natural but I find that hard to believe with so many ingredients. I have a slight form of eczema on my legs (hence why they are so incredibly dry all the time) and I didn't have any problems at all, however, that may not be the case for you. If you do happen to be one of the unlucky ones with some sort of skin disorder/problem and you want to try this out, I recommend testing it in a small amount on your thigh or something just in case you do have a reaction and it's not unbearable to handle.

I love the texture. At first, when I used a previous cream to shave I was a little unsure of the lotion like texture but as I begin to use it I loved how it felt and moisturized my skin. It does have a lotion like consistency and isn't too thick nor is it too thin. It goes on very smooth and will stay on your skin as long as water isn't running over it or it isn't submerged in water. I also didn't find it to be sticky or greasy whatsoever.

I got the pomegranate raspberry scent and oh my goodness, I love it!! Pretty much anything pomegranate is my favorite. The fragrance isn't too strong but it lingers just enough on your skin to be like lotion. I can't quite describe the smell except that it is sweet and unique. It smells like something that you would find at a store like Bath and Body Works.

If you're dry shaving it will last until you are done shaving. If you are wet shaving however, be sure not to let it get wet or it will start to come off. I rinse mine of in the shower after I'm done wet shaving but do so as I rub it in like a lotion, just to make sure I get the moisturizing part of it.
I personally like how it holds up on my dry skin better, but because of my eczema, wet shaving is better for me. Dry shaving would allow you to use less product versus wet shaving where it may tend to thin out when you're applying this to wet legs.

The bottle is fairly simple, its just a simple plastic bottle with a few grooves in the sides so it doesn't slip out of your hands in the shower. It also features a pump top (much like a regular lotion bottle) and just has a basic cap that goes on top.
The bottle comes in a variety of colors depending on what scent you pick. The list is below:
Pink - Pomegranate Raspberry
Purple - Jasmine Lavender
Green - Cucumber Melon
Yellowish/Beige/Cream - Vanilla
White - Unscented
Blue - Island Blue

I picked the Pink bottle because of two reasons; a) it was my favorite color and b) it is my favorite scent. I would love to try all of the other scents as well to compare them to the one I have now.

The instructions on the bottle are fairly simple. It recommends that you use 2 to 3 pumps per leg then apply and shave. It also mentions on the front that it is versatile between dry and wet shaving. It isn't incredibly discreet which, why would you want no one to know you had shaving cream? It is good for travel considering it is fairly small (It's a 7 oz. bottle and it isn't metal).

This can be used wet or dry and features a pump top for easy access to the product.
