Intimate organics massage balm by Intimate Organics

I received the Intimate Organics Massage Balm by Intimate Organics a while back, but wasn't able to write a review on it until recently. The reason being - the first tube I received was leaking out at the bottom seam and I had to return it. Needless to say EF made the product good, and sent me a replacement that only squirts out at the real opening.

When the new tube arrived, I opened the box from EF and inhaled the scent of lemon and coconut. There are three varieties of balm available, and I chose the relaxing formula that consists of lemongrass and coconut. The fragrance was initially a little strong but quickly mellowed down to a pleasant and appealing level. I removed the screw on lid and peeled back the silver foil covering.

I squeezed a small amount of the balm out onto my hand. It is really a thick balm and was slightly difficult to get started out of the tube. Once I got some out, I rubbed it around on my palms, and initially, it was grainy and rough feeling. The graininess quickly went away and the balm became a smooth oil. It wasn't a greasy oil, and did not leave a greasy residue on my hands.

Later that evening, I gave hubby a good back massage with the promise of him giving me one in return. I squeezed out about a fifty-cent piece size of the balm, and started rubbing it onto his back. He is fairly hairy, so I thought I would have to reapply the balm within a short time. I rubbed the grainy substance into his skin, until it turned into the smooth oil, and continued to rub his back.

The balm spread smoothly over his back, onto his arms and legs. I started using the Heart Warmer Massager on his back after rubbing in the balm, and the remaining oil kept the massager flowing smoothly over his skin. The friction was minimal, that resulted is easy gliding and smooth sailing. At no time during this massage did I have to reapply the balm. Later, he stated he liked the grainy start and smooth finish.

After I finished providing him with a great massage, my hands did not feel oily or sticky. They felt like I had applied a good moisturizer. The balm is vegan, organic, and paraben free. The tube of massage balm contains shea butter, and a variety of organic essential oils. Each tube is 5 fluid ounces, and this seems to last a long time since a small amount is all that is required for each massage.

Hubby loved the first massage using this balm. I had to wait for a couple of days before I got my massage (that was owed to me). I enjoyed the grainy feeling that was initially felt. It felt like he was exfoliating my back. Then, as the balm turned into a smooth oil, his rubbing did not cause any unpleasant friction; only a smooth, gliding feeling.

When I rolled over onto the sheets, I didn’t feel like I was sticking to them. I also didn’t feel like I was collecting dirt and lint on my back. We have used this balm several times on each other, both with and without the Heart Massager, and each time it has been enjoyable. We both enjoy back massages, and have been looking for that perfect balm/oil to use and I think we have found it.

This is one of the greatest massage balms we have found. We have used it repeatedly and still have about half a tube left. The pleasant smell has remained constant and has not faded away, even when the top has been left open. It continues to rub in really well, and has not dried out at all. We have enjoyed using this balm on each other and it has led to many wonderful nights.
