Being a cam girl I had always heard rave reviews about how amazing the Hitachi was. A lot of my guys suggested I get one so when I saw they were on sale I decided to do it. I'm one who actually enjoys penetration but I opted out of buying attachments for now. I had watched girls online use the toy countless times but could never have imagined just how great it felt until using my own. For only having two speeds it's incredible. There are some toys I have where I just cannot seem to orgasm using them no matter what I do but that's definitely not the case with the Hitachi. A few days after I received it in the mail I put on a show for my guys on my cam site and they said it was the best orgasm they had ever seen me have! As I had always heard, it really is the God of all sex toys!
The Hitachi Magic Wand is made out of plastic and has a safety level rating of 8. It's food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phthalates free. It's a non-porous material which makes it easy to clean. You can very easily do this with antibacterial soap and warm water or your desired sex toy cleaner spray/wipes. Make sure to unplug the toy before cleaning and let it dry before plugging it back in. Water, oil, and silicone based lubes are safe to use with it but I have personally never needed to even use a lube with it.
I love that this toy doesn't take batteries! Finally I won't be disappointed when I go to turn it on and the batteries are dead. The cord is quite long too so having it plugged in isn't bothersome and even if it won't reach, there are always extension cords.

Words cannot describe how much I love this toy! It's absolutely amazing and it's still (and probably always will be) one of my favorite toys. I don't use it too often because of the intensity but I'm always excited whenever I do!

Good alternative to Hitachi?

I had a rechargeable mini fairy wand, but last week it ended up breaking, and now I'm desperately looking for a similar type wand massager. I've looked at a couple, but I'd really like some input on which massager people are recommending. Thanks!

I have 3 wand massagers that I use at times. There are things I love and hate about all of them. The hitachi is the most powerful one, but it is so loud! The Wahl 2 speed is also great. It is the quietest and I love how rumbly the vibes are! But none of the attachments are quite right for me. If I could only have one wand I would get Inspire. It has a button that you press and release when the power is at your desired strength. In stead of just 2 speeds like the hitachi or the wahl you have control over how much power you want to use. The Inspire has a detachable silicone head. My complaints are that it gets hot after about 20 minutes, at at the higher speeds it gets pretty loud. Your toy was rechargable, but the wands I listed all plug in and have more power. Good luck with your replacement!

Yeah, the rechargeable wands tend to get really hot too, plus it would die after 20-30 minutes, so I needed to stay near an outlet at all times. Noise isn't really an issue for me (at least not right now). The one I had before had an adjustable wheel for vibration intensity, but to be honest, I always turned it all the way up and never changed it, so maybe I don't really need adjustable speeds.
I've never tried any of the detachable heads. Are they worth buying?

I can't speak from experience about either of those vibrators though. However, if you want something similar to the Hitachi, I would suggest either The Wahl or a Fairy Wand. I own the Hitachi, Wahl, and Fairy Mini but highly suggest the Wahl. It is the most rumbly of the three and is nearly silent.

Is the hitachi better than the acuvibe for anyone who has had the chance to try both? I'm under the impression that they are essentially the same thing but maybe I'm wrong...

I have had both, and they are really both very good toys. The main difference really is that the Acuvibe is rechargeable and can be used cordless, while the Hitachi must plug in to work. Personally, I think that the Hitachi is slightly stronger, and it has definitely outlasted my Acuvibes - I have had two, and they both broke down after about six months or so.
