Oil
This is a good product, even though there are some things I didn't like about it, it still did what I bought it for.Published: December 10, 2011
Pros:
good for short massages
Cons:
stains
I thought this candle would be a great idea. I could use it as a reason to get my honey to give me a massage, especially my feet, great foreplay right? Wrong! This candle smelled amazing at first but once we lit it and let it burn for about 5 minutes it just smelled like vegetable oil with smell good stuff in it.
It has good burn time, and a nice wick. It is smaller than I thought it would be. I would say it is a little bigger than a votive but square and in a nice glass container with a rubber lid.
Also this candle WILL stain, or at least it will stain military uniforms. I accidentally spilled some on my hubby's leg and it still has not come out and it has been a month. It also requires soap and water to remove. I tried some baby wash as that is what I use because others dry my skin out, but it will NOT remove all of the candle oil.
The wax does not burn when you pour it directly on skin while the candle is lit. You can burn candle til you get the desired amount then pour it while lit, blow out flame then pour, or if you want to blow out the candle and use your fingers to get the wax out and put where your wanting to massage you can do this too. This is not a lube so please do not use it as though it is. I would not recommend tasting this product. It says it is tasteless but it does not smell very good. It is smooth when using in a massage but does not feel like it absorbs into skin but rather just sits on the skin. This candle is oil based.

Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
Still has a smell similar to vegetable oil after burning for more than 5 minutes. Also it stains and I like my sheets and furniture, so I still don't like this candle.

Massage Candles that list all products especially soy
-
I'm finding that a lot of massage candles on this site do not fully list what they are made of, which I find pretty upsetting. Does anyone know of a massage candle that does not contain soy? Some products which are supposedly high end do not even list what type of oil. =/
I've found one so far... the light my fire massage candle by love to love. any others out there? -

I always find it helpful for people when I add them in, because like you, some people want to avoid certain ingredients all together!

Nice review
Nice review. Sucks that it stains. I hope you find a way of getting it out.
I'd be surprised if the candle were water-based.
Great review!
Thanks for the review.
I think I'll avoid this if it stains and smells like vegetable oil.
Great review
