Oil On Troubled Waters
This is an absolutely wonderful massage oil, it's slick, good for the skin, absorbs into the skin (but not too quickly) and leaves the skin silky not sticky. The only downside is that it contains almond oil, which may not be ideal for people with nut sensitivities.Published: August 2, 2011
Pros:
Effective, leaves the skin silky soft, smells wonderful, great ingredients
Cons:
Not for people with nut allergies
This is an excellent all natural massage oil, it's slick, and gives you a long times to work before it absorbs into the skin, and when it does absorb it leaves the skin silky soft.
I have the peach scented one and it smells absolutely lovely, and leaves no ill tasting residue on the skin. I've used it on many people, and had it used on myself, and everyone has commented on the particularly lovely feeling of this oil.
It's a thinner massage oil, with similar viscosity to say... olive oil, and is a little thicker than say canola oil, and feels wonderfully slick on the skin, but absorbs without leaving on feeling "greasy" forever after the massage. For those with back problems (or other muscle problems) it combines beautifully with a little tiger balm, and the two scents work very well together.
It comes in a very simple flip top plastic bottle, and although the bottle does tend to get oily if one picks it up with oily hands to reapply during a massage (Note: you rarely have to reapply unless you're going for a true marathon massage) it doesn't seem to leak generally, though as stated the bottle does tend to get a little oily and it will leak if it's not stored upright.
In terms of ingredients it includes grapeseed, almond, sesame, safflower, and avocado, and thus should not be used by anyone with sensitivities to those things. It also has vitamin E which is a powerful anti-oxidant and very good for the skin, as it has healing and anti-aging properties.
The smell is quite strong and very peachy but not in offensive fake chemical way, it's more the smell of lovely fresh cut fruit, however you should be sure to choose a scent both you and your partner enjoy to make sure everyone enjoys the experience.
This is not an oil that needs to be washed off after use, it absorbs into the skin, leaving it healthy, glowing and... deliciously touchable, and it leaves no discernable taste on the skin except for the vaguest (and most tantalizing) hint of peach.

We are wanting to try something new. We have tried the fruit scent and vanilla...which one should we try next?
-
The strawberries and champagne is probably the next scent I'm going to get myself.
-
I like the 'organica' scent. Very light pear scent.

Also: I just realized wthis for for massage oil. Not lubrication. Whoops! Please disregard. -
Personally, I think System JO H2O Flavored tastes the best.

Personally, I think System Jo H2O is crap.
I have tried Wet Flavored and really liked blueberry.
Also, I really like Tokyo Aroma in Mango/Melon!

Which do you like best? Shunga or Kama Sutra massage oils?
-
I've never tried Shunga but I have the massage therapy kit from Kama Sutra and I love it! Do the Shunga oils absorb as well as Kama Sutra? Which do you like better and why?
-
I personally like the Shunga oils better than the Kama Sutra oils for the scent. To me they absorb about the same, the Shunga ones might take a little bit longer to fully absorb if you go real heavy with them. But I love the candy scents that Shunga has.
-
Thats good that they absorb quickly. I love the Kama Sutra oils but I'd like to try a Shunga and see if I like it. Do they leave you sticky? I'd imagine something so sweet and candy like would leave a sticky feeling. I think I'd like to try the vanilla, rose, or lavender. Of course those ones are sold out right now I think.

Thank you for viewing Shunga exotic massage oil review page!

are the ingredients you listed the only ingredients? i'm searching for a lube without glycerin or anything sugar-esque whatsoever for my sensitive lady parts and this looks like it might be it.
Um, as far as I can tell, yes?
Oh wait, Ylang Ylang and fragrance, sorry!
