Okay if you like a floral scent

The DONA body lotion isn't bad, just a bit expensive for what you get. Also, the scent does not smell like pomegranate. While I am generally a fan of DONA products, I feel the pomegranate scent should be advertised a bit differently. Still, everyone like different scents.

Use

The Dona Body lotion is designed to moisturize skin to keep it supple and smooth. The Dona line is made by JO, who sell mostly lubricants. The ingredients, while they look and are a mouthful, are fairly straightforward. The ingredients are mostly what you would fine in the majority of lotions and similar beauty products. If you have sensitive skin, it is always a safe thing to do a test before you slather this everywhere. To do a test, place a small amount of lotion on your forearm or the back of your hand. Rub in the lotion and monitor the skin for about two days. If you do not see any adverse reaction, you should be good to go!

The lotion does it's job on moistening the skin. It also keeps a lasting scent even hours after use. Just make sure you choose a scent that is right for you. Also, this lotion might be great to use on extremities, but it might be best to keep it off of skin that has mucous membranes or if you have recently shaved. If you put this on just after shaving and are sensitive, you may experience a small amount of burning (since shaving causes your skin many micro-abrasions).

The lotion is advertised as aphrodisiac infused. While there are products in it that are thought to induce arousal, there are no concrete studies proving this. Still, just liking the scent and being close to your partner when using this lotion can increase the likely hood of a romantic encounter. This lotion is not designed to be used as a lubricant or internally.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The lotion's properties are similar to almost any lotion you'll pick up. It is smooth and homogenous. It has some thickness; it will not run of your skin like water. If you put a dollop on your hand and turn your hand the lotion will not slide off. It will move somewhat, but it will not fall off. The pomegranate is an opaque white lotion with a rose/wine colored tint. It's a light coloration. The lotion feel substantial as you rub it into you skin and feels like it will do the job.

The lotion is easy to use by pressing the nozzle down. When you rub it in, you'll see a little glean on your skin and then it will look normal. After it's on and has dried a bit, it feels like it wasn't there to begin with. However, I wouldn't recommend slathering up and then hitting the gym. The sweat will make you feel slick and a bit icky. Still, the lotion does its job and is not an inconvenience in terms of texture or greasiness.

Taste / Aroma

The lotion is not edible, but it has a heck of a scent. The scent isn't bad, and it comes down to preference. The scent is more floral than fruity in my opinion. It is sweet but not as light as I would have hoped. It feels like an older scent to me. Which is fine, everyone likes different things. I just think if the scent is advertised as pomegranate then the scent should be more fruity than it is. I don't really smell pomegranate. It reminds me more of cherry blossom with floral notes. Still, the scent is not overwhelming and you won't kill those with allergies as you walk by.

Even if you wash your hand, you'll still smell the lotion if you put your skin to your nose. Use the lotion lightly if just starting out to see how much of a scent you want. You can also use an unscented lotion and just a little Dona lotion to add a scent. That way, you get the benefits of your unscented lotion and don't smell so strong that you can be scented ten blocks down.
    • Strong smell

Performance

This product can be a bit like a clingy lover; even when you wash your hands or the area, you can still detect some of the scent. It won't be detectable if you shower and use a different body product, though. In terms of texture, the lotion washes off easily with soap and water. Or you can use a paper towel on your hands and they won't feel greasy after using the lotion. It's also good to dry off a bit after applying your lotion before bed. Walk around a bit before settling into the sheets. Your sheets might get a good scent, but they can make your sheets dirtier quicker.

The lotion does work. If you place it on your elbows, you'll notice they'll be softer in just a day or two. However, the performance of the DONA lotion is not above that of a regular lotion. In fact, a regular bottle of lotion will be moe cost effective and just as good if not better at softening skin.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely

Packaging

Like all body products, Eden packages them in plastic. This is to prevent the body products from potentially damaging any toys you have with your order. Remove that packaging and you'll have your bottle. The bottle has a push-down nozzle. It is easy to use. It is best to store it upright. If you are traveling, you can lock the lotions by pressing down on the nozzle and turning to the right. It is still best to wrap your body products when traveling just in case they leak.

The packaging is not loud. It does have the word "aphrodisiac" on it. This may seem risque to some of you.

Experience

The lotion isn't bad in terms of performance; I am just not happy about the scent. My favorite scent so far is the Mangosteen. However, I tend to prefer lighter, fresher scents that have fruit tones. If you like more floral scents, then the Pomegranate may be for you. I tend to prefer citrus scents so I am kicking myself for not sticking to them. I use this lotion when I have nothing else on hand. I'm moving soon, so I am probably going to leave it with my roommates since I don't really use it.
