Everyone needs a Hitachi Magic Wand. It's the staple of the bedroom. It's the "If you were stuck on an isolated island alone" staple provided that island has electrical outlets. You literally cannot go wrong with this. If it doesn't impress you (because you're the 1 in 100), at least one of the zillions of attachments will please you.

Use

This is the all-purpose vibrator. Actually, it's the only vibrator I'd dare call a "massager". You totally can use it for that too! I've actually used it on my neck of all things. It's not for the faint of heart, so if it's your first time, do have a few layers between the Magic Wand head and your sweetparts!

Material / Texture

If I could complain about the Hitachi Magic Wand, it would be about the materials! What is that weird leatherlike head made of? It is some kind of plastic derivative, I'm sure! We're in the age of silicone! It has crevices galore, so if you use this bareback (god bless you, steel clitoris), you might have a harder time cleaning it. Aside from that, you have oodles of attachments in a variety of materials. Personally, I would use this with a layer or two if just requiring clitoral stimulation, and if I require more, I can use attachments all made in materials I trust!

Design / Shape / Size

Hitachi Magic Wands are hefty! Holding them can give you an arm cramp. It's best to prop some pillows (and you'll get good at this), so you can have great angles without strain. You have to be near an outlet, and you don't want to use the one behind your bed because it will totally ruin your cord (and then you'll be furious).

It technically is a massager, so you could just toss it in your suitcase without fear but also be aware that it is a massager very well known as a pleaser of parts.

Functions / Performance / Controls

This guy has only two settings, and he is loud. Let's consider him an industrial sex toy. People will always say, "This is the only sex toy I've ever used on the low setting". They're telling you that the Hitachi Magic Wand is no joke. It will pull an orgasm from you - kicking and screaming.

This toy has two settings ("Low" and "High"), but both are really strong. Similar massagers may have more settings, but all the ones that I've tried (Adam and Eve, specifically) do not have the extreme power of the Hitachi! Try the "high" setting at your own risk.

Care and Maintenance

You should clean this toy with a moist cloth. It's not waterproof, so be careful! Personally, I store it at my bedside, but since it is not made of a material that melts or melds with other sex toys, you should be pretty safe! The head material does seem semi-porous, so use with care!

    Lol, I don't have the Hitachi yet... because it's HUGE, it's not made of silicone (like you mentioned), and it's corded.

    I have been thinking it would eventually make it into my toy box, but it's not on my "DIE FOR" list right now. But thank you for the review, you make a good point about using attachments.

    Tigerkate, the silicone attachments are definitely worth looking into- and I looove the corded element. I hate when all the rechargable batteries in the house are failing to keep a charge for very long!

    Good first review. We actually use ours more for massages (My Man calls it "The Big One" or "The Hibachi") than for sex. I, as is known, prefer the Wahl.

    But, it is a cool cool toy, and I wouldn't want to be without it.

    I do know a few women who don't like it though. Too strong and numbs them out. I know, myself, if I don't come in the first few minutes, I get too numb and I do have a Clit O Steel.

    I think every household should have one, though.

    tigerkate, since you don't penetrate with it, the material isn't as big of a deal. This toy has been around for at least 30 years, and I don't think they've changed the materials. I don't think any of the external corded massagers are made of silicone, now that I think of it. And some of the Hitachi's attachments which you can penetrate with, are made of silicone.
