This toy was definitely designed
The first thing you will notice when this package arrives is the fantastic aromas wafting out of the box! You don't even have to open the kit to be aroused by this collection. When you do open the box, you will find a very nice, large tin just begging you to open it.
This kit contains
'edible' strawberry massage oil,
almond massage oil,
bath suds, a cute little
wooden massage tool, a
small vibrator, a
little feather deal and a really pretty,
pear-shaped candle. (Now, in the photo on the site, the candle shown is a pillar candle, but my kit had a small, purple and gold pear-shaped one.) It is hard to know what to investigate first!
I said 'edible' strawberry massage oil because, while it does taste like strawberries, it has a sort of, well, oily aftertaste. It isn't horrible or anything, but you certainly do know you are licking massage oil. It seemed to heat slightly on the skin, and that was very nice. The almond oil smells wonderful! It feels good on the skin, too. Now, neither of them soak into the skin very quickly, so plan on being somewhat slippery and oily for awhile...
The massage tool feels great on sore muscles, but it is sort of small. I wouldn't count on it for any real relief if you are looking for tight muscle relief, but that isn't really the idea here anyway. It does provide a pleasurable feeling when used with either massage oil. The feather deal feels good, too, but tickles. My husband is not that into being tickled, so keep that in mind when using it. It could backfire on you.
The candle, while very pretty, doesn't really have any fragrance to it. Use if for the ambiance. It didn't drip, always a plus in a candle unless you are looking for some hot wax play. Since it is different than the one shown in the ad, I don't know if you would get one like mine or a pillar candle if you order this.
The bath suds are fun, smell great and make some awesome bubbles. Perfect for a bath for two. Maybe this would be a good place to use the candle...
Now to the big disappointment: the vibrator didn't work! It calls for one AA battery, which is not included. At first I thought maybe the battery I was using had lost its oomph, but that wasn't the problem. It just doesn't vibrate. Certainly not to say that all the vibes in these kits won't work, but it was a bit of a downer.
All in all, this is a great kit, especially for a lost weekend with your main squeeze. My favorite was the strawberry oil in combo with the little wooden massage tool. Just bring along another vibrator if you really want one, just in case.
That sucks, about the vibrator. That wood roller looks kind of awesome though, maybe good for relieving tension around the spine (if it is indeed tapered as it looks in the pic).
I was surprised to see a 4 star rating with a set where the vibrator didn't work, but if everything else is top notch, then you can get an inexpensive vibrator to replace it with if it's desired. Thanks for the review, Destri.
It was because everything else was so nice that I gave this a 4 star rating. The vibe was just a little plastic one anyway, and would be quite inexpensive to replace. Plus, there is always a good chance that it would work in a different kit. I may have just gotten the rare dud....
You have to love the preservatives they put in their edible products. Did the taste of it make you feel a little nauseous? Or go right to your head? 99% of the time I taste food based products from sex toy companies they give me a headache or just taste down right greasy.
Well, it didn't make me nauseous... that would really defeat the purpose of a love lube, wouldn't it! I have had quite a few of the food based things taste greasy. To this day, the best-tasting product I have ever used is the Incognito tickling dust brush... that dust is yummy!
