Pass On These Herbs

While the concept of this product is good and I usually trust Dona to make products I'll enjoy thoroughly, this one fell flat. It smells great in the bottle but it takes a lot to even be detectable in the bath.

Use

This product is for pouring into a bath for added aromatherapy and possible moisturizing effects on the skin. As with all Dona products, this one is infused with so-called superfruits and aphrodisiacs. Your mileage may vary.
The most likely user for this product is someone who isn't afraid to try new things and likes to make bathtime a relaxing, sensual experience.

So, in case you didn't feel like reading all that, this is a bath oil with a strong scent. That's it, nothing more. If you want bubble bath, Dona makes a darn good one and I did a review on it as well.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The consistency is like some thin hair gels I've used while in the bottle. It's a thick, yellow oil. It gets a little sticky if applied directly to one's skin. It's pretty unappealing in texture until placed in water. It's a little hard to pour because of the thickness.

In the tub, you can't even feel it's there. It doesn't leave a coating on my skin after I get out and dry off. It just dissolves into the water as it should.

Taste / Aroma

The smell mostly makes me think of soap. It's a clean scent with citrus and general fruitiness. It smells very intense if you pur your nose down to the open bottle, but we'll get to what it smelled like in the bath in the performance section. I hesitate to say you shouldn't buy this if you have issues with strongly scented items but only because I'm not really saying that anyone should buy this at all over here.

This is a bath product and not an edible massage product. I'm just going to go out on a limb and say it would taste bad.

Performance

Here's where the problem is. I used two capfuls of this stuff in my bath as was recommended by other reviewers and I couldn't smell anything unless I scooped up the water in my hands and brought it up to my face. I wasn't expecting it to fill the room with scent or anything but to smell it at least a little would be nice considering that that is literally the only thing this product is actually meant to do.

As for any moisturizing properties, I didn't receive any. If I used a ton more it's possible that I would feel it more but my dried-off skin felt just as dry out of the tub as before I got in.

If you're just dying to smell nice things while bathing, you might as well burn cheap incense instead. Alternately, you could dump half the bottle of this into the water.

Packaging

The bottle is pretty nice, though mine seems to be leaking a bit. It's a clear plastic bottle holding 6 oz. The label is blue with a black lace pattern and gives some information about the product.
Said information:
- This product is paraben-free.
- It's cruelty-free.
- It's "natural" but who knows what that means in today's age with companies scrambling to make all their products seem organic or at least close to it.
- It's free of petroleum derivatives.

The bottle is small and thin but because my bottle leaked I cannot in good faith recommend you travel with it unless you wrap it in a plastic bag first, to avoid leakage all over the rest of your luggage.

Ingredients: Glycerin, ginseng root extract, gingko biloba seed extract, centella asiatica leaf extract, paullinia cupana leaf extract, ptychopetalum olacoides root extract, turnera diffusa leaf extract, arnica montana flower extract, pausinystalia yohimbe bark extract, PPG-26 buteth-26, hydrogenated castor oil, and fragrance.
