I received my Hitachi as a gift, and I can say that it is one of the best gifts I have ever received. It's more powerful than all my other vibes combined. The Hitachi is wonderful if you need a quick orgasm, but it can be used over a longer period of time to draw out multiple strong orgasms. It does leave me numb and itchy when used over longer periods of time in forced orgasm play, but the feeling does subside within 15 minutes, and it's just a small price to pay for intense pleasure that will leave you breathless and glowing.

It's great to use either when alone, or with a partner holding it against you. I do not recommend this for girls who are very sensitive since, in my opinion, even the low setting is fairly strong. Although large in size and somewhat heavy (length: 12", circumference: 6 3/4", diameter: 2 3/8"), the intensity of the Hitachi makes it worth the cumbersome size and weight. While it's not discreet in size, it can be passed off as a back massager (original purpose) for those who have difficulty hiding it. I would not recommend traveling with it, unless your suitcase is large, and the place you are going is private enough that the sound won't be a problem.

While this toy is extremely noisy, the function of this toy is to pull intense orgasms, which it certainly does. The entire head vibrates, allowing you to adjust whether you use an edge, or the top of it, providing variation in stimulation. The vibrations rumble around the entire head of the Hitachi, and can even been felt to a lesser degree in the handle. It is very easy to use, with a simple toggle switch to control the settings which include a lower and higher one. This is easy to store in a toy box, or under the bed, as the cord simply wraps around the Hitachi. It does however require more space than other vibrating toys. As the toy is plastic, all lubes may also be used on it if desired, and they can easily be cleaned off when cleaning the Hitachi. Care simply requires cleaning off the head after use, which is quick and easy. Cleaning can be done with warm water and soap, or wipes of some sort. Be careful to make sure it is not plugged in while washing it, though.

My personal experience with the Hitachi has included using it both solo, and with my partner. When solo, having the control of the Hitachi allows you to control the intensity, so that it is not as painful.
