Shunga's Erotic Massage Oil is one of our favorite things to use, whether we're making love or one of us is giving the other a massage. This was our first introduction to Shunga's products, and we fell in love with it instantly. Since then we've purchased many of their products, and been equally as happy with them as we are with this one.
The all natural ingredients list is quite impressive. It contains a blend of cold-pressed oil made from almond oil, grapeseed oil, sesame seed oil, avocado oil, vitamin E, essential oil, safflower oil, extracts of ylang-ylang and yohimbe, and depending on the fragrance, essential oil extracts from lavender, rose blossoms, peach blossoms, apple blossoms, orange blossoms, and vanilla.
The oil comes in an 8 oz. plastic bottle, with a black push top lid. Just press the top to open or close. Once it's closed it does not leak. Another great thing about this oil, is that a little goes a long way. We've been using the same bottle for over a year, and still have a bit left, and we use it quite often. The label has the typical Shunga Asian erotic art work on a black background. The bottle is so lovely and discreet that we just keep it on the dresser.
There are many scents to choose from:
APHRODISIA: A passionate rose fragrance
DESIRE: A mild hint of vanilla
EUPHORIA: An exhilarating bouquet of flowers
EXCITATION: Tropical orange
PASSION: A basket full of forbidden apples
SENSATION: The softness of lavender
STIMULATION: Velvety peach
LIBIDO: Exotic Fruits
CHAMPAGNE/STRAWBERRIES
We have the Desire fragrance. It has a nice sexy vanilla scent with a slight hint of almond that's not at all food-smelling. When using it for massages it can be warmed up a bit, in the microwave or just stand the bottle in some hot water for a bit. But be careful not to get it too hot. You can also add a capful to your bath for a moisturizing aromatherapy experience, or just rub it all over after your shower as a daily body oil.
My husband prefers that I use the Shunga Massage Oil on him for hand jobs over other lubes. We've even ended up with both of us pretty much covered in it during foreplay a few times. That's always fun, slick, and good for our skin at the same time. I love this oil so much that I have a back up bottle in the drawer for when, if, we ever hit the bottom of the one we have now.
If you want to wash it off afterward just hop in the shower. It doesn't leave a film, just baby soft skin. I prefer to just let it soak in at night, and shower in the morning, but I have very dry skin. As far as the bedding goes, I've never noticed any staining on my sheets. So I assume it washes out easily when I do the laundry.

Well we finally made it to bottle #2, and we both still love this for so many reasons! It's hard to believe that something we both use so often, lasts as long as it does. And I never get tired of the scent. Though, years from now when I finally buy bottle #3, I just might try a different scent. Wouldn't it be great if Shunga made a gift set with mini bottles of all of the scents?

Personally, I think System Jo H2O is crap.
I have tried Wet Flavored and really liked blueberry.
Also, I really like Tokyo Aroma in Mango/Melon!

Which do you like best? Shunga or Kama Sutra massage oils?

I've never tried Shunga but I have the massage therapy kit from Kama Sutra and I love it! Do the Shunga oils absorb as well as Kama Sutra? Which do you like better and why?

I personally like the Shunga oils better than the Kama Sutra oils for the scent. To me they absorb about the same, the Shunga ones might take a little bit longer to fully absorb if you go real heavy with them. But I love the candy scents that Shunga has.

Thats good that they absorb quickly. I love the Kama Sutra oils but I'd like to try a Shunga and see if I like it. Do they leave you sticky? I'd imagine something so sweet and candy like would leave a sticky feeling. I think I'd like to try the vanilla, rose, or lavender. Of course those ones are sold out right now I think.

Thanks! I was wondering about this product, it seems to be made of quality ingrediants and its ultra important to me that it does not stain things!!! Really important information. I love oils that absorb and do not feel oily. Some of these oils like Stimulation and Desire, etc would be great to mix together for a more personalized scent!!
