Lip gloss discontinued
by Bella Il Fiore

Pretty but not Perfect

It's a great deal, less expensive that designer brands and only slightly higher cost than typical drugstore brands. I found similar products ranging from $6- $25. From Cover girl to Lancome.

If it feels good on your lips it's worth getting in several colors.

Use

It contains beeswax and therefore is not a vegan product. No Sulfates / No Triclosan / Parabens free. Latex not in ingredients list nor does it remind me of latex.

If you don't like to carry multiple lip products with you this is a very convenient two in one. No need to carry separate applicators. It is easy to apply and no mirror necessary. It does not bleed or go on very dark. Though it is very moist, it does not feel as though it absorbs. I don't think it would work on its own as a lip moisturizer and does not have a SPF. The colors can be worn separately or together.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Oddly, the darker color has air pocket and bubbles in the tube.

But anyways, the darker base feels good. The lighter shine does not. It feels and looks very much like petroleum jelly. Thick and slimy. The dark on its own is a bit sticky because of the beeswax.

Taste / Aroma

It tastes like beeswax. The smell is an unidentifiable sweet scent even though the product page and other reviews say it is unscented. I have a very sensitive sense of smell. Even to me it's not a strong smell and I do not smell it when it's applied, just from sniffing the tube. (I sniff everything I review)

The only taste I noticed was the beeswax in the darker color.

Performance

I accidentally tested this on an animal. I planted a smooch on the top of my pups head leaving a kiss print. It held up better on him than I. I did find it to be pretty durable considering I'm constantly drinking water. I do have a lip gloss addition and compulsively reapply. Even so, I did not have any problems washing off any remaining at the end of the day. For a lip product to not get gross from my constant applying is rare. So for that I give this 4 stars!

What I like best about it is that it comes with brush for gloss and that it is two colors in one to wear separately or together.
I tried it out in layers. I tried each color separately and combined with a lipstick.

It stays on but the color does lighten in a short amount of time. With reapplication it does not feel thicker or clumpy.

The colors blend well together.

Packaging

It comes in a pink and gray paper board box by Bella Il Fiore. It lists the ingredients and weight. The color is not listed on tube or box which is unfortunate for when it's time to replace it. I chose the burgundy.

The lighter color has a gloss brush applicator. The darker has a foam applicator. I prefer brushes for any type of makeup. The lighter color is the short end weighing in at 3.3 ml. It contains quite a bit more of the darker at 5.7 ml. I imagine because the shimmery gloss is intended for a topcoat.

Special Features

Comes with separate applicators for each color.
Plumper?

Personal comments

I chose the darkest color available in hopes that it might cover up a scar on my lower lip. The color is just a tad darker than my natural lip color which is perfect. The shimmery wet look however makes my scar even more noticeable.

The manufacturer's website does not carry this product. I found it on Amazon for $13. It's $13.99 here on eden.

With any topcoat that is shiny I suggest applying it with a lip brush to just the centers of top and lower lip. Don't take it all the way to the corners of your mouth. The light gloss comes with a lip brush, and the dark comes with a sponge tip applicator.
Follow-up commentary
I actually like it even more. I use the darker color daily. It has replaced my usual lip gloss. I tried my old one today and it felt gross in comparison.

The applicator is so convenient. It goes on smoothly and accurately. I don't even need to use a liner with it.

I really don't use the lighter color because I don't care for the consistency. I hate vaseline!

just another follow up- I lost it. I missed it so much I ordered another one. The color is such a close match to my natural lip color. Nudes and pinks are too light on me.
