The Terme Tresses Shampoo and Fresh Fiore body wash are both thin and will run down skin; they are comparable to average shampoo and body wash. The Terme Tresses Conditioner, Dolce Dreams body lotion and Cattiva Diva hand cream are all quite thick; the conditioner is similar to any other conditioner, and both lotions are quite thick (a bit thicker than regular body or hand lotion).

All the products are smooth and slick with no grains, granules or textures of any kind. They all squeeze from their bottles very easily and none of the products made my skin or hair feel sticky or greasy at all. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash all rinsed cleanly away, and the lotions absorbed quickly and left no residue.


The shampoo is pearly white, the body wash is pearly pink, and the conditioner, body lotion and hand cream are all white with the faintest hint of pink.

Upon opening the box, I was hit with a strong perfumey odor. While actually opening and sniffing the products, and while using them, I didn't find any of the scents that strong or overwhelming. Though I do think that perhaps the box and the shower pouf were scented.

The Terme Tresses Shampoo and Conditioner and Fresh Fiore body wash are part of the Isolina fragrance line. Principessa Beauty describes this scent as "Isolina, or little Island, is an exquisitely sheer, subtle, sexy and delicately sophisticated scent with a touch of whimsy. Top notes include violet leaves & mimosa (orange flower), blended with middle notes of rose petals & neroli. Heliotrope & precious woods round out this ultra feminine elixir that is best described as pureness in a bottle. It's an alluring blend of feminine, fresh, floral notes with hints of a powdery finish." When I poured all three products into my hand, they all smelled like a powdery floral. However, while using the shampoo, I personally smelled more roses. The conditioner smelled more powdery and the body wash still smelled like a blend of powder and florals.

The Dolce Dreams body lotion, Cattiva Diva hand cream and Candelina soy travel candle are part of the Belloccia line. Principessa Beauty describes this scent as "If pink had a scent, this would be it! Belloccia means irresistible in Italian and this seductively sweet concoction does not disappoint. It's both extremely luxurious and intoxicatingly delicious, opening with ethereal nuances of peach and vanilla flower, cascades into middle notes of night blooming jasmine and ylang ylang and bottom notes of sandalwood and warm amber dry down to a warm, sensual finish." In my hand, I can smell some sandalwood and floral scents for the Dolce Dreams. The Cattiva Diva, to me, smells much lighter and I can't really pick out much scent from it. Sniffing the candle while unlit, it just smells like wax to me. However, after it is lit for about 20 minutes, I can smell mostly a warm vanilla scent (with subtle floral undertone) from it.

I found none of the scents (except for the actual box) overwhelming and none gave me a headache. Also, these are external use only products, do not ingest. I didn't taste anything, neither should you.

The first time I used the shampoo and conditioner, I tried to only use a small pea size amount. Applying that amount of the shampoo didn't do anything and I had to add some more product before I got a nice lather. The second time I used it, I used a little bit more than a nickle sized dollop and it performed well. The same happened with the conditioner - a pea size amount didn't moisturize well, but a larger dollop (a bit more than a nickle) worked well for me. Both products rinsed away completely and left no residue in my hair.

I applied about a quarter size amount of the body wash to the included shower pouf and it lathered quite well. With a quarter size amount (or slightly) more, I was able to wash my entire body. This product also rinsed completely away and left my skin quite soft afterward.

As for the body lotion; I started out trying to use as little as possible to see how well it spread, but I ended up needing more than I had initially thought. The body lotion is quite thick and didn't really spread all that well (so I needed more product), but it absorbed/rubbed in so quickly and left no residue or greasiness on my skin. It also left my skin very soft and softly scented.

I only needed about a pea size amount of the hand cream; it absorbed/rubbed in very quickly as well and left no greasy residue or stickiness. My hands were very soft and that lasted through two hand washings (though that of course will vary depending on how dry skin is before putting the cream on).

I can't really comment on how long the shampoo and conditioner's scents last in hair because I have a pixie cut and can't actually smell it without cutting a chunk of it off (which I'm not about to do). I had someone smell my hair right after a shower to see if the scent lasted, and all I was told was that it "smelled like hair". The body wash's scent didn't really last long after showering. My skin smelled clean, that was about it. The body lotion and hand cream did provide a lasting scent (with the body lotion being the strongest), but all I could smell was a warm vanilla.

The candle lit easily, and after about 20 minutes, I could smell the scent wafting through the air. It was light and not overwhelming at all, and it smelled like a light floral vanilla. There is no mention on the tin about how long the candle will last. Because of its size, I would guess it perhaps has a 10 hour burn time, but don't quote me on that.

All the products come in a pretty pink paperboard box that is not quite 7 inches tall, 5 inches wide, and 2 1/2 inches deep. On the front and back of the box is a marking bearing the product and manufacturer's names. The bottom has two hinges, the top has a clasp to open and shut it, a sturdy black plastic handle with a pink ribbon tied to it and a tag telling you what is inside the box.

Inside the box are 2 ounce, flip top pink bottles of the shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion, and black tin candle. The hand cream is smaller at .85 fluid ounces. There is also a grapefruit sized shower pouf. The bottles and candle tin list the product name on the front, a brief paragraph about the product in English and French, an ingredient list, as well as Principessa's website address, a recycling mark, and a statement that the products are paraben and sulfate free on the back.

The entire set is discreet and quite lovely. No one would ever guess it was purchased from a site that sells adult products. Traveling is easy with the box; though if you travel by plane, you should either place the set in your checked baggage or place the bottles in a clear baggie. The box set also makes a wonderful gift.

If you asked anyone who knows me, not one would say that I'm very girly and by no means a princess. But I do absolutely love bath products and I've been wanting to try this set for some time (regardless of how "girly" it is or might smell). I was a bit worried that the scents would give me a headache because I do have some scent sensitivities, but the only smell that I found quite strong was the inside of the actual box. Smelling each individual product, I didn't find their scents overbearing. If anything, they smelled rather light in the bottles. Though I was able to pick up on the scents better while using the items.

As I said above, the shampoo smelled more like roses to me while using (I LOVE the scent of roses). The conditioner smelled more powdery and the body wash was a nice blend of all the scents. I did have to use a bit more of the shampoo than I had initially intended because it didn't lather right away, but using about as much as I do of any other shampoo provided a nice, cleansing lather. My hair felt squeaky clean afterward, and for the conditioner, I used about as much as I do with any other conditioner (just over a nickle size amount for both). It rinsed cleanly away and didn't leave my hair overly slick feeling or greasy. I currently have a pixie haircut and most conditioners make my hair feel really slick and weighed down. This conditioner, however, did not. Right after getting out of the shower, I was able to comb my hair and style it/fluff it up and let it dry (which I usually have to wait for my hair to dry to style it after using other products). When dry, my hair was soft and shiny and looked much nicer than other products leave it.

I really enjoyed using the body wash as well and it lathered up really nicely (especially with the pouf). Speaking of the pouf - it's only the size of a grapefruit, but it is well-made. It is much thicker/denser than other poufs that I've picked up from various stores. After showering with the pouf and body wash, my skin was very soft and smooth and I didn't actually need to use lotion, but of course I did. The Dolce Dreams lotion was quite thick and I started out trying to use only a small amount of it. But it didn't spread so easily, so I had to use more. However, I was quite impressed with how fast it absorbed/rubbed into my skin. I had barely rubbed it in and it had already absorbed. The body lotion left my skin very soft and smooth and lightly smelling of warm vanilla, the same with the hand cream. Neither felt greasy or left any residue on my skin. With other lotions, even though they absorb nicely or weren't that greasy, there is always a feeling of "lotion" on the skin and not just naturally soft skin. When I was younger, I never used lotion because my skin was just naturally soft - as I get older, my skin is getting drier, so I need that moisture! Using the body lotion and hand cream left my skin feeling like it was just naturally soft again and that I hadn't actually used anything at all.

The travel candle is also nice. It lit easily and after about 20 minutes, I could smell its soft scent throughout my room. After having it lit for a little over an hour, the wax pool didn't quite fill the entire top and it was about 1/4 of an inch deep. Once the wax pool cooled/dried, only a small amount was gone from the top. There isn't a burn time listed for the candle, but after seeing how much was gone after an hour and comparing that to the candle's overall size, I would guess that the burn time is around 10 hours.

Overall, I really like this box set. Some might not like the scents, but I do. All of the products seem to be of very good quality and I enjoyed using them very much. If you would have asked me a week ago what my favorite bath and body product line that I've tried so far from Eden was, I would have immediately said Cake Beauty, without a doubt. After trying this set, there is definitely some strong competition going on. I've already ordered some more Principessa Beauty bath products and I'm impatiently waiting for the other box sets to come back into stock. Sorry Cake, but I think I might be a princess after all.
