Use

The Mini Magic Wand from Vibratex is a wand style vibrator, meant for external use. You can use it on the clitoris, or all over the body to soothe your sore muscles. It is small enough to take anywhere with you but it is not waterproof, so stay on dry land if you want to use it.

Material / Texture

The head of the wand is made of silicone, and the rest of the body is plastic. The head has little ridges around it, but the very top is smooth. The seam is well fused, I only notice it vertically on the neck. The silicone has no drag, but you can use a drop of water based lubricant if you want. Avoid using silicone lubricants because they can deteriorate the silicone of the wand. The silicone doesn’t pick up very much lint or pet hair which is always nice.

Design / Shape / Size

People will probably know what this is if you leave it out, but they’ll think it’s just a massager. The wand is long and slender, making it easy to hold onto. The neck is flexible, and the vibrations will not diminish when pressure is applied to the head. It is 6 ¼” in length, and the head is only 3 ¼” in circumference, making this very travel friendly.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The wand is only operated by one button, located in the middle of the handle. There are six vibration patterns as follows:
1. Low steady vibration;
2. Medium steady vibration;
3. High steady vibration;
4. Short pulse followed by a long pulse, repeating;
5. Five short pulses, getting stronger with each one;
6. Low to medium escalation, followed by two short medium pulses, then medium to high escalation, followed by two high short pulses, repeat.

You can cycle through all the patterns to turn the toy off, or just hold the button down for a couple of seconds and it will turn off. The wand is fairly quiet, but it might be heard through a closed door, but the noise can easily be masked with a TV or radio.

The wand is rechargeable, and contains various ports for different kinds of chargers. I found two cell phone chargers that work with it, plus there’s a slot for an older iPod port, but it will also plug into your computer via USB. You'll need to charge the wand when you get it. Let the wand recharge for about 6 hours, and that will give you about 1 hour of play time on high, but it will obviously last longer on a lower setting.

Care and Maintenance

Wipe down the wand with a damp cloth and mild soap is best, but you can also use a toy cleaner or wipes, being careful not to get the charging port wet. You can also sterilize it with a 10 per cent bleach solution.

Packaging

The wand came in a triangular clear package with a handy storage bag and the charger. There is a sheet explaining what kinds of charging ports are available. The packaging isn’t great for storage because it is kind of bulky, so I just keep the wand and the charger in the little storage bag.

Experience

I really enjoy this wand because it is so light weight, and all the vibrations are focused in the head. No tingly, or numb fingers after extended use. It would be excellent for travel because it can probably use your cell phone charger to recharge, and if not, then the USB on your laptop will work just as well. This is a handy wand massager I recommend to anyone, beginners and advanced users alike.

I wasn't expecting this wand to last for a long time, but it's holding up very well. The noise is slightly louder than it used to be, but it hasn't lost any power. It's important to keep recharging this because the battery drains when this toy isn't being used, but otherwise, this is a great wand!

Great review! This thing is so cute! I've kind of looked around for something like this, but didn't want to go with anything too expensive and it looks like this might just be the perfect one to go with. I'm glad I read your review. It sounds like it'd be wonderful on muscles.

Am I to understand that this rechargeable massager doesn't even come with a charger? I would probably have a charger lying around that might work with it, but it just seems sort of lame to not include a charger with a rechargeable toy. Great review!

    • I wish there were more head to head reviews of these wands. There are about 5 nice wands and all the different attachments. I like the looks of this one and the Mystic over the other two mentioned.

      Anyone have (or tried) all three?
    • I looked through a fair portion of the Hitachi reviews and I wasn't able to cross-link any of those reviews to the other two you mention, but that doesn't necessarily mean someone doesn't own all three. :)

    • I completely forgot to update on this. When I received the Mini Magic for review there was literally no information about it to be found. Not in the packaging or the internet. So I wrote to Vibratex and I did not hear anything back for a while. I wrote my review and forgot about it.

      A few weeks later I received an email answering ALL my questions (about material, charging time, etc..) and then some! I was really impressed. I am pasting the letter he wrote me below.

      I want to thank you for taking the time to contact us with your questions for your review of the Mini Magic.  I apologize for the lack of information on our current packaging, we are putting the final touches on our new packaging that will replace the temporary labels.

      I have attached an image of the Mini Magic which is numbered to easily identify the parts of the unit that are made of silicone or another material.

      #1 - The head of the unit, is made of silicone.
      #2 - The neck of the unit, is made of silicone.
      #3 - The body of the unit, is made by using hard ABS plastic with a urethane coating giving you that textured feel.
      #4 - On/Off/Function cover, is made of silicone.
      #5 - Charging port cover, is made of silicone.

      The Mini Magic is a water resistant/splash proof item and can be washed under running water of a sink or a shower.  Please note, in order to prolong the life of the unit, we do not recommend the user submerge the unit for prolonged continuous periods.

      With that said we have tested the unit to verify it's resistance to water by completely submerging the unit while on the "On" position and cycling through each of the six variable speeds, this test had the unit submerged for well over an hour.  We then removed the unit, hand dried it and let it air dry to allow for any remaining moisture to evaporate prior to fully charging the unit to verify that the unit functioned with no issues after being submerged.  The unit functioned normally with no issue.

      This brings me to charging the unit.  If the battery of the unit has no charge, it will take the unit approximately three hours to bring the battery to a full charge, which will give the user approximately sixty to ninety minutes of continuous use.  This will vary user to user and the speed/function of users preference.  An approximate charge of an hour will allow the user to use the unit for a continuous period of thirty to sixty minutes.  This again will vary user to user and the speed/function of users preference.

      We recommend that users fully charge the unit after each use to ensure the unit will operate at it's optimal strength and speed for the next use.

      For your use, I have attached images of the Mini Magic in Pink and Black, please feel free to use the images in your review.
