Relax in the bath

I'll buy this again. I love a well-scented bath and matching products. Dona JO has never disappointed me with their products, so I'll be keeping these in my bath routine.

Use

Dona JO bath foam is on step in the line of Dona JO ritual products. I had the Blue Lotus scent, and while the scent was lovely, it was pretty faint as well. This is great if you don't want a strong smell. Personally, I want to lay back and fantasize that I am somewhere surrounded by flowers and such. This won't take you there - it just isn't Calgon.

This is a sweet, sudsy time bath product. It says it's aphrodisiac infused, and it may well be. It has great super fruits like noni, acai, pomegranate, mangosteen, green tea, and Arabica bean coffee. I've always loved to add a little coffee to my baths, as it stimulates the skin and gives a nice hue to my skin tone without tanning or spray tanning.

Of course, it's covered in the Dona JO lacy look label that stays on very well day after day in the shower. That's always a plus. Rather than sliding off at the first sign of steam, the packaging stays nicely in place.

Dona Jo Back

This is an addition to your bath and body routine, as it does smell nice, even if it's rather faint. It's good for anyone who occasionally enjoys a sudsy, relaxing bath over a down to business shower. I used this along with other Dona JO products daily until this emptied out, and I had no irritation or interaction with other products.

Since my skin is fairly sensitive, this is a plus for me. I do not have any allergies though, so someone who has allergies may want to investigate the ingredient label more closely.

The label states that it is Paraben free, Cruelty free, Natural and Petro-deriv-free (non Petro derived).

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The natural state the Dona JO blue lotus bath foam comes in is very much like other bubble bath products, though slightly thicker, and the foam is nice. I'd like to say luxurious, but I just can't get there. We're out in the country, so I'll say perhaps my hard water is why I didn't get the full bubble.

My skin felt pretty much as usual after patting dry, so I didn't notice any real skin moisturizing aspect, and that would have been super nice since it is winter now, and dry skin is an ongoing battle.

Taste / Aroma

I didn't taste it...bubble bath is not on my diet. Now had it been chocolate bubble bath, that might have been another story. I digress though. The smell is a light floral. I can't say for certain that it matches exactly any one flower, let alone a "blue lotus," otherwise knows as nymphaea caerulea. The blue lotus has recently been found to contain psychoactive alkaloids that have mind altering and mood enhancing properties when ingested, but there is no blue lotus extract in this product what so ever.

Regardless, the scent is a pleasant floral with some fruity undertones. Though faint, it serves its purpose in relaxation mode.

Performance

Its performance is very much like a bubble bath, thank you. Again, due to being in the "sticks," so to speak, our water may be a little on the harder side, so the foam was more of a sporadic dusting of bubbles. While the bubbles faded away, the scent remained in the water. Again, it's pretty faint, but I prefer that.

Follow-up commentary
I just got my reorder of of the Dona Bath Foam, in the blue lotus scent. I still love this bath treatment. The smell is always so pleasant. I will continue to buy these bath products. It's my little happy place at the end of the day and these add to that ritual.
