You wake up Saturday morning, kiss your lover's forehead, and he rolls over, pulls something off the headboard, and presses it into your palm. You open your hand to discover the Bell Nipple Clamps from Spartacus, and a smile darts across your face. You clamp them lightly on your already-aroused nipples, and tiptoe off to the kitchen to make breakfast, the light sound of bells following you as you go. Your lover crosses the street for the newspaper and comes back to read you the articles, pausing to watch your beautiful body and listen to the tinkling bells as you work. When you've eaten, he relaxes the grip of the clamps, blood and sensation rush into your nipples, and he leads you back to bed.

The Bell Nipple Clamps are my first set of nipple clamps, and I'm very pleased with the adjustability and craftsmanship of this particular set, as well as the sensations provided. These are a "tweezer style" nipple clamp, which is widely adjustable for a broad range of nipple sizes and pain tolerances. These can be worn during sex or around the house, and their unique feature (the tinkling bells) is a wonderfully executed, creative idea.

CONSTRUCTION
These nipple clamps are made of metal (Spartacus confirms it's nickel), and have rubber tips for nipple comfort and grip. The rubber tips were formed separately and pressed on, so they could theoretically come off, but they are quite well-fit and seem to be securely attached.

I've been hesitant to dip my toes into nipple toys because one of my nipples is much more sensitive than the other. I've also been unsure of fit---I just don't know whether my nipples are smaller, larger, or the design-goal average. I thought that a tweezer-style clamp would be the best for my first try, both because it could fit a wide range of sizes, and because I could have lighter pressure on my sensitive nipple and stronger pressure on my normal one. For those who already know their nipple size and pain tolerance, "butterfly" or "clover" style nipple clamps are an option. Having tried this tweezer-style set, there's a very wide range in sensation possible, so I don't think I'll need to step up to stronger clamps. These don't need to give any pain at all to be able to stay on, but they can also give a pretty intense sensation if you feel like amping things up.

The tweezer part of the clamp is 2.5 in. long, and the adjustment ring can glide from the very base of the clamp (giving a 3/4 in. gap between the tips) to the place where the rubber rests (so the tips are touching---they're shipped clamped to one-ply cardboard). I can wear these enjoyably at a wide range of intensities, but if I want to wear them for a longer period of time I keep them fairly loose (with the adjustment ring about a half-inch from the base of the tweezer). Thanks to the rubber tip, they stay in place successfully. I even scrubbed the bathtub wearing them with the rings about 5/8" from the base. They gently compressed my nipples the entire time, made such sweet music as I leaned and scrubbed, and sent a wonderful rush as I removed them after ~20 minutes of total wear. The rings don't shift at all during use, so you won't need to worry about these bouncing off during sex as long as you have them on at a reasonable tightness.

The construction of these clamps is quite impressive for their low price. I was expecting cheap stamped metal and those flimsy rings that often need to be squeezed shut with pliers---but these are nicely rounded tweezers, and the adjustment rings are thick reliable metal so they won't pose a hassle. The bells are stamped but are of fine quality with no seams. They also have a very nice tone. I found that they make more music if you wear the tweezers jutting out to the sides, rather than hanging down. If your lover is in the next room with the door open, (s)he'll be able to hear your every footstep, and anticipation will rise with every light ring. If a door is shut, though, no one will hear your excitement, and these won't rouse a sleeping partner.

CARE
The Bell Nipple Clamps should be easy to care for---they can be kept in a drawer, or both clamped to a piece of paper to prevent separation. They can be cleaned with rubbing alcohol, though because the rubber tips are porous, they should be dedicated to a single user. With the very affordable price, there's no reason not to have a separate pair for each person. A matching Bell Clit Clamp is available from the same company---it's identical except that it's 1/4" shorter than the nipple clamps, which means the sensation will be slightly more intense.

FINAL THOUGHTS
I'm decidedly pleased with my first foray into nipple clamps. I chose this set because they are adjustable for many levels of intensity, because they are unpainted so no color will flake off over time, and because the soft sound of bells is thrilling for service-oriented tasks and for a lovely background rhythm during sex. I'm impressed with the construction of my first purchase from Spartacus, I'm excited by the sensations, and I'm glad to find that these don't fall off, even during vigorous activity on a light setting. The only drawbacks to this set are the fact that they're so long (4 in. total) that they're visually awkward (I'm a C-cup, and even the tweezers extend past the bulge of my breasts), and the fact that there's no way to wear them under clothes. I might eventually look for a set of nipple clamps that can be worn discreetly, but for now I'm utterly satisfied with the Bell Nipple Clamps.
