Scrub-a-dub All My Toys In A Tub
I am really glad that I decided to try this. It is safe for all of my toys and conditions them as well as cleans them. I will continue to purchase this for all of my cleaning needs.Published: June 27, 2011
Pros:
Reasonably priced, Anti-bacterial, Safe for all toys
Cons:
Safety warnings as it is bottled to match their lubes
I normally clean my toys with a mild soap and water. Often times though that leaves a soapy smell to Jelly and TPR toys and if you don't rinse it very well it will leave a residue that can cause irritation. With my ever amassing collection of toys, I figured that after reading great review about Climax Bursts Toy Cleaner from Topco Sales that I would give it a try.
It comes in a 4 ounce plastic bottle boasting the words climax bursts surrounded by green bubbles on the front and minuscule wording on the back. It has a round bulb top with a green cap underneath. To open you peel off the protective lining under the cap and pull the bulb up.
The smell is kind of lemony fresh, a nice clean smell. I really liked this so I got a small plastic tub and a few toys of different materials to wash, where I could see how it works on each one. This is a water-based, anti-bacterial cleaner that boasts it can be used on all toys. It has yellow and blue beads inside that are enriched with vitamin E to condition toys and prevent drying.
I made sure that all of the batteries were removed and began rubbing this on a finger-vibe made of TPR first. Instructions tell you to rub it on and leave it for 30 seconds before rinsing and starting the drying process. I laid a towel on the counter and proceeded to Silicone, Jelly, Glass, Plastic and then Sil-A-Gel. After rubbing the cleaner all over the toys and rinsing well I laid them all on the towel to allow them to dry completely.
Now I don't know if it really conditions them. It would make sense with vitamin E I guess, but it did leave them all smelling very clean and I actually felt a little better knowing that they were cleaned with an anti-bacterial cleaner.
There are warnings with this to avoid contact with eyes and not to use it internally. If this happens to seek a doctors attention. I really doubt though that you will be eating it, putting it in your eyes or using it as a lube. It looks a lot like their line of lubes so you may want to keep this stored separately.

Top problems?

The top looks good but is hard to open and when useing strength it pops off. Is this normal? any one have the same problems with the bottle?
-
Yep, I covered that in my review. First time I pulled the cap up I popped it right off, but it popped right back on too. Mine even looks like it's about to fall apart but hasn't yet.

WHATS THE BEST CLEANER?

WHAT CHEMICAL IS THE BEST TO CLEAN TOYS WITH AND WILL NOT HURT YOU?
-
The only cleaner I've ever used that was made specifically for toys was WET brand's Keep It Clean. I still use it and swear by it, you can read my review on it. It cleans thoroughly, does not leave residue, rinses clean, smells awesome, and it's a foaming cleanser which makes the bottle last forever and provides a more thorough clean on anything that has a texture to it. I have the Butterfly Kiss and the butterfly part has wings, antennae, and several lines etched along his belly. Keep It Clean gets in there just fine. On a side note, I was cleaning him the other day and his wing slipped from between my fingers and flicked soapy water in my eye, haha. So I can also say that Keep It Clean will not burn your eyes, at least not from a small amount.

Thank you for viewing Climax bursts toy cleaner – toy cleanser review page!

This seems like a good alternative to my regular soap and water routine, I will have to get some when it comes back in stock it seems like this one comes back for a day and then is gone again! Nice review
Thanks, It has a nice smell and while I may not use every time I think it will be placed in regular rotation.
this looks like a nice product!
Great review!
I really like it, it goes a long way too. Thanks
It seems like a good idea to have instead of using regular soap and water when you didn't want to use toy wipes.
thanks for your review
