Sensual massage oil review
Kama Sutra's Sensual Massage Oil is a quality product that facilitates a wonderful massage. The feel and scent are both wonderful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone.Published: April 16, 2008
Pros:
Light, silky, and non-oily texture; pleasant scent; absorbs into skin or is easy to remove
Cons:
Non-edible
My husband and I have been using Kama Sutra’s Sensual Massage Oil for 15 years now, and it still remains one of our favorites. It is light and not greasy, but greatly reduces friction for a comfortable, silky and sensual massage. The scents are all very nice, powerful enough to provide an aromatherapy experience, but not overwhelming. I think my favorites are Serenity, for a calming, relaxing massage, and Healing Blend, for a deeper, more soothing relaxation of the muscles. I can honestly say, however, I like all the scents very much, and have not been disappointed with any of them.
The oil itself is slippery and silky, but not greasy, sticky or goopy at all. It is a light-feeling oil that is surprisingly long-lasting and provides a long and sensual massage experience without need for frequent applications.
At the end of the massage, the oil will usually absorb nicely into your skin, leaving you feeling soft, not greasy or oily. If you’ve used too much oil or you don’t have time to wait for it to absorb, a quick rub with a dry towel will remove the excess oil without the need for an immediate shower.
I have very sensitive skin, and I’ve yet to experience any negative effects from Kama Sutra’s Sensual Massage Oil—no rashes, burning, or breakouts.
Unlike most of Kama Sutra’s products, the oils are NOT edible and really don’t taste very good at all if you kiss or lick the massaged area afterward, so beware.
The oils come in an attractive, understated, and shatterproof plastic bottle that is convenient to use. The squeeze top is not as convenient as a pump, in my opinion, but it is still easy to dispense. I recommend first applying the oil to your palms in order to warm it up and not cause a cold, shocking sensation to the skin.

Though I truly do love this massage oil and think it's one of the best ones on the sensual products market, I think its performance may have been eclipsed for me by the equivalent product in Shunga's line. Still, though, this is a great product and you really can't go wrong with it for sensual massage (unless you're looking for something edible!).

Sensual Massage Oil- What the heck do they smell like?
-
Sensual Massage oil has a nice little selection of scents...
Here's the problem- There are 5 scents to choose from, but no way to know what each one smells like! There is no description of any kind! And most of the names (Pleasure Garden, Healing Blend, Serenity and soaring Spirit) give no hint as to what scents they include!
Does anyone know of a website/page that describes each scent option better than EF's product page? -

I read the first 3 reviews that had been posted on this product, and was discouraged when they didn't describe all 5 scents. After reading your response, I decided to go through and read every review for this product, in search of descriptions.

"~Purple- Healing Blend
"Rich blend of essential oils for soothing muscles and restoring harmony."
This scent is very relaxing and warm. This is a great scent for when you want to relax and unwind. It has elemi, clary sage, clove, and nutmeg. It's a warm and sensuous nutmeg/clove scent. It makes you feel warm and sleepy.
~Turquoise- Soaring Spirit
"Invigorating blend of pure essential oils to energize and refresh."
This scent contains scent notes of citrus, geranium, ginger and fennel. This scent makes you feel clean and awake! To me it smells like strong peppermint.
~Orange- Sweet Almond
"Sensual combination of calming oils for relaxation and de-stressing."
This one smells exactly like almond extract. I love that smell! It contains the oils of sweet almonds, vitamin E, and skin smoothing emollients.
~Green- Pleasure Garden
"Aromatic mix of pure essential oils for sensual and seductive intimacy."
This one contains oils from Italian bergamot, ylang ylang, neroli, rose, lavender, and sandalwood. To me it smells like a sexy blend of sandalwood and lavender. It's very warm and cozy.
~Blue- Serenity
"Soothing mixture of pure essential oils for quieting body and soul."
It contains oils from warm cedar, sweet marjoram, orange, and lavender. I think this one smells the lightest and kinda smells like a mix of sweet almond and healing blend. It doesn't smell unique. It's a very relaxing scent and it's the lightest."

"The sweet almond is the most simple of the oils. While the Pleasure Garden is italian jasmine, rose, lavender and sandalwood; the Soaring Spirit is fruity with orange, lemon, peppermint, spearmint, geranium, ginger and fennel; and the Healing Blend is more of a woodsy smell with lavender, cardamom, rosemary, marjoram, elemi, clary sage, black pepper, clove, nutmeg, juniper and pine."
I wanted to share those two descriptions, in case someone else is wondering what they smell like and (like me) doesn't think to read through ALL the reviews for a description. :)
