Shave And Protect

Simply sensual's after shave protection mist is a wonderful product for my sensitive skin, though, there are allergy causing ingredients, I had no issues. There is only one scent, but the aroma of this scent is mild and wonderful. When you spray this mist it comes out super fine. On the skin this spray is not sticky, oily, or greasy, but instead feels natural. This is a product I will purchase for a long time to come.

Use

Simply sensual after shave is a protection mist that is sensitive enough to use on the most sensitive areas. There are some ingredients to watch out for, so you should spot test before the first use. Once you have shaved your area, you spray a protective layer of this after shave mist onto the shaved area to help prevent rashes and ingrown hairs. If you were already irritated prior to use of this after shave, it is okay to still use this spray, since it will help close pores and sooth out any irritation. However, discontinue use, if this is what caused the irritation. This after shave mist can be used by men and women alike. The aroma is just fresh and clean, so there is nothing to identify it as masculine or feminine.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The after shave mist comes in a bottle with a spray pump that is similar to what you would find on a cheap hair spray bottle. This pump does not stick, but each pump could vary and it does have the potential to stick. The after shave mist come out of the spray bottle in a fine mist. This mist is so fine that you can feel it once applied and there is no need to rub it in or spread it out manually. Once applied the mist is absorbed rather fast, so it stays in place well. It does not leave your skin sticky, oily, or greasy, but in fact, it leaves your skin feeling natural. I don't even notice this spray on. Inside of the bottle, you can that the after shave mist is like water. It is really runny and if you tip the bottle upside down, it moves really fast. If you were to pour some in your hand, it would be just like water.

Taste / Aroma

The bottle labels this spray's scent as botanical. The definition of botanical is anything related to plants or plant life. Now, given the ingredients list of many extracts from plants, this spray definitely smells botanical. There is a spice smell and a floral smell to it, but these are very mild. This is not a scent that is going to linger around for long. You can only smell it when you open the cap to smell it and when you first spray the mist.

You should not ingest this product, but it won't leave your skin tasting like anything unnatural.

Performance

I use about 3-4 sprays to coat a small area well. It is hard to tell if you get the entire area, because the mist is absorbed so fast. After you apply the mist you are suppose to leave it to do its magic, but if you don't like this spray then you should get into the shower to wash it off.

I personally love this spray. I shave myself on a regular basis and sometimes I get ingrown hairs, razor burn, or just irritated in general, but with this spray I have yet to have any of these happen to me. This is wonderful to me because I like to keep up with my shaving and sometimes it can be hard if you are irritated. The only con I can think of for this spray would be that, I wish it can in scent options. The scent is nice, but I would like to have the option too pick my scent. This is a spray I will continue to buy.

Experience

I have had eczema ever since I was a toddler, so I have extremely sensitive skin. There is a limited amount of beauty products, shave creams, lotions, detergents, and bath products that I can use without resulting in a breakout. Well, simply sensual is a line that I can use. I currently have the shampoo and conditioner set, the shave cream, the body lotion, and this after shave mist. I am able to use them all without causing any issues. I really like the simply sensual line and recommend them to anyone who is not allergic to some of the ingredients.
Follow-up commentary
When I remember to use this stuff...I love it. I have a hard time remembering though. I swear by it. I also like to use it in conjunction with the powder from Simply Sensual. I prefer my Simply Sensual items over Coochy any day.
