Ducky sponge - sponge discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by connies7388

Thank you EdenFantasys for saving me money. I received this yellow "ducky sponge" for a review item. It looks so cute on the EF site and I was excited about receiving this. What a let down. All I can give you is a simple, short and sweet (or not so sweet) review.

This is a bright yellow artificial sponge, which measures 5" long X 4" tall and 2" thick. It is rough in texture, not soft and it does absolutely nothing. Since it is not a natural sponge, it does not grow in size when soaked in water--in fact, it does not absorb water very well. After submerging it in water, it barely soaked up enough to squeeze out a good amount. Also, because it does not take on water easily, it does not accept soap so you cannot use it as a washcloth substitute.

What can you do with this ducky sponge? I have no good suggestions--it isn't practical for bathing and quite frankly, it isn't even cute.

What can I say? This is rough, not soft but you can squeeze it because it is a very lightweight artificial sponge--it barely weighs one ounce on my kitchen scale. If I saw this in a "dollar store", I would not purchase it for any reason--not for dishes, not for bathing and not even for a cute child's bath toy. They say a sucker is born every minute and this must be manufactured for them. Who else would spend hard earned money on such a low quality and useless item. This sponge is good for nothing.

OK--I tasted this. There is no taste and no aroma to the product. These are probably the products best quality. At least it doesn't have any repulsive factors--you can totally ignore it.

Performance? It doesn't do anything. I guess you can say it does nothing very well. It is very light and can be held with no problem. Even with weak hands, it is easy to hold. If you drop it, it won't break.

Packaging? Bzzzzzzzzzzz--another negative. It comes plain and simple--it isn't even packaged in a plastic bag--it comes simply in a plain brown box--the usual EdenFantasy's packing--brown box and brown paper.
