Silk in a Bottle

This massage oil is now my favorite sensual aid. It's hypoallergenic, smells great, and has an amazing feel. It's wonderful for massages, but isn't intended for use as lubricant. I would definitely recommend this for people with sensitive skin or skin conditions. It's been great for my psoriasis, and I haven't had any problems with it.

Use

The new Naturals massage oil line from KamaSutra is sure to bring passion to your love life. It's certainly made late night massages sexier, and I love having a sensual aid around whenever my back is particularly sore. I have the Passionate Pomegranate, which I love because it's only lightly scented and doesn't overwhelm the senses.

The best part about this massage oil is that it's dermatologist tested, which is why I couldn't wait to get my hands on it. I have a skin condition, so that's definitely news to my ears. After using this oil 4-5 times, I can safely say that I have had no adverse reactions to it, and I am in love with this stuff!

Please keep in mind that this is for external use only, and should not be used as lubricant.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This massage aid is oil based, which I actually had never tried before. I usually stick to water-based lubes and lotions, but I will definitely be broadening my horizons now! The texture is very silky and thin, but not too runny. If it were a lube, I would say that it isn't thick enough, but for massages it's just right. I love the velvety feel when my man rubs my back with it. A little goes a long way, so the 8 oz. bottle will last a long time. We've used it about 5 times, and have barely used 1 oz. so far, and that's for full-body massages!

The ingredients are as follows:
Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Seed Oil, Prunus Amygdaulus (Sweet Almond) Oil, Lecithin, Tocopheryl Acetate, Fragrance (Parfum) Amyl Cinnamal, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Limonene, Linalool

Taste / Aroma

The oil is lightly scented, which is great because I'm not a fan of strong smells. It's meant to be a soothing complement to the other senses that are being stimulated, and trust me, it works! It's also colorless and unflavored, so it won't dye your skin. It's not meant for eating, but it doesn't taste terrible either. After a massage and toweling off, it leaves my skin with a wonderful light aroma of pomegranate, which is so nice. After wiping it off, there's no residue or gross feeling. With some lubricants I have to shower right after use, but not with this massage oil.

Performance

One thing that I love about the oil is that it doesn't leave a sticky residue after use. Sometimes I shower it off, but it's not necessary. Since we don't use very much at one time, it cleans up well. The oil doesn't absorb particularly fast, so one application is really all that you'll need. Of course, applying it periodically throughout a massage is also an option, but a little does go a long way, and I'd like to try and make it last. Since it is thin and prone to running, I would suggest using it while laying on a towel or blanket that can be washed. We usually throw down a sheet for easy clean up.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural

Packaging

The oil comes in an 8 oz. bottle wrapped in a small plastic bag. The bottle is a dark green color, and is discreet enough to be left out unnoticed. The print is small, so it's not obvious that the bottle is of massage oil. The bottle is sealed, so there is no danger of it spilling during shipping, but after removing the seal, be careful and store it upright in a cool place to help it last. The bottle has a snap top, and can easily be opened and closed with one hand, which is nice because messes are eliminated.
    • Can be opened with one hand
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Easy to use / dispense

Experience

I am in love with this hypoallergenic massage oil. I will definitely be ordering more when we run out. I want to try the Strawberry scent next, since I love the Pomegranate so much. I love the silky feel of the oil, even after it has absorbed into my skin. I am definitely a fan of this one.
