Smells and tastes lovely, if a little mild.
A Touch of Honey is an all around nice product. My only gripe is that the smell and taste of it is pretty mild, though very pleasant. I would really prefer it to be stronger than it is!Published: December 11, 2011
Pros:
Sturdy package
Good applicator
Lovely smell/taste

Cons:
Cheap looking applicator

Smell/taste is very mild
A Touch of Honey came to me all packed together in its cloudy plastic jar. The label is cute, with pink and leopard print and "A Touch of Honey - body dust – Sensuously Edible" on the front. The back provides further product information, such as ingredients (corn starch, dextrose, baked honey, sodium saccharin, & flavor), the phrase "Use your imagination and enjoy", and some other basic information. This is a very discreet package. Someone wouldn’t know what it was at a glance, but they could probably tell if they really paid attention to the package. The feather applicator came packed inside the jar, with a cardboard divider keeping it separate from the powder. I tossed the divider since I didn’t think I’d be able to reuse it. I just keep the applicator on top of the jar. The lid twists off without any issues, revealing the powder inside. The jar is nearly full, with only about ¾“ of the jar being empty. This will certainly last you a while!
The feather applicator looks pretty cheap. At first glance, I was a bit disappointed. It honestly looks like a bunch of feathers taped together with pink masking tape. I did experience some feathers falling out, but after using this for around a month it actually seems more sturdy than I thought. It’s soft and spreads the powder over your skin easily, and I really like this applicator much more than I thought I would.
I definitely liked the smell of this right away. It smells sweet and very much like vanilla to me. I applied it to my skin, which was easy with the surprisingly nice feather duster, and it smelled just as nice. However, the smell was much more faint than it was just out of the jar. The taste was just as nice. It’s very sweet, but not cloying or unpleasant, and tastes like a very light vanilla. Again, the taste is a bit lacking in intensity for me. I really wish the taste was stronger, because I feel like it’s teasing me! I can just get a little bit of sweetness, and that’s it! The powder also feels nice upon application, with its silky softness. I didn’t notice any change in the look of my skin. I’m very pale, so on someone with darker skin this MIGHT show up, but I think that as long as you apply it lightly, it shouldn’t be a problem.
I am happy with this purchase. For only $11, you get a generous amount of product in a cute jar with a good applicator, that smells and tastes nice, even though it’s too faint for my tastes. I will continue to use this, no question!

Difference between the A touch of Honey Body Dust & The Touch of Honey?
-
I was noticing that the site has two separate listings for this product. I was wondering why (if its the same thing, by the same company) why they don't have it listed together, with the vanilla on the same page as the berry and the raspberry? Is there any difference between the two products other than the flavor?
