Smells great & fun -not for Vegetarians

I personally wouldn't purchase this product again, simply because it contains gelatin. Other than that, I have no complaints, and if you're not vegetarian, it's a great product.

Use

When I bought this product I was really excited- edible chocolate body paint! It comes with a cute little feathery brush for applying. Doesn't come with anything to put the brush in after you use it the first time, so you will need a container. Unfortunately, I didn't read the ingredients before I bought this product, and learned after I got it home and open that it contains gelatin, so it is not vegetarian/vegan friendly, so we didn't get a whole lot of use out of it.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

It's a little sticky, but I figure that's to be expected, so it didn't bother me. I applied it to my hands a couple of times, and it goes on nice and smooth. Be sure to have lots on your brush because it does go on very light. It does rub off onto the sheets, too, so be careful painting in bed.

Taste / Aroma

Smells wonderful! I couldn't taste it, but my husband did, and he said he liked it. Very chocolaty. I also smelled the chocolate raspberry, which I preferred over this one because of the fruitier smell. This one is just plain chocolate, but still has an enjoyable aroma.

Performance

Our jar of paint lasted a little while. I was impressed with how much was actually in there. You do need to apply a fair amount to the skin if you do want to 'paint' any words or images on the skin. Even after licking it off the skin, I found I could still feel a bit of stickiness, but that went away with a wet washcloth.

Packaging

After opening and using, there is no place to put the brush until you want to use it again. Perhaps including a little plastic pouch or container would solve this.
Aesthetically pleasing packaging.
    • Minimal
    • Would make a nice gift

  • Sampler packs?
    • I think it would be really great to see the edible body paints end up in a sampler set :) Like one chocolate, one vanilla, one carmel, etc etc. That would be great! Anyone else agree?

I think that would be fun. Maybe have different types of packs too. Like themes. That way you'd get flavors that go well together, and you could have a mix and match kind of thing going on.
