Venus body scrub by Venus - review by married with children

This aromatic body scrub is best used in the shower or bath, to lightly polish away the dead skin. It leaves your skin feeling silky smooth, and lightly smelling like a peach. (For you guys, this acts just like car polish, cleaning all the impurities out of the clear coat so you can put down a coat of wax.)

This has the consistency of a really thick soap or lube. You could pour a drop in the palm of your hand, turn your hand vertical; and the drop would slowly hang on before sliding down your hand at the pace of a snail. It pours pretty easily for now. But I worry when the bottle starts getting low. It might take a while of holding it upside down with your hand under the opening, before you get enough to use.

The texture is that of a lube, until you start rubbing it on your body. That is when you feel the pumice and sea salt. It feels good over parts of your body that are not sensitive, like your arms and legs. But over sensitive areas like your nipples and clit, it can cause some discomfort. So be careful when first using it.

This smells exactly like a fresh peach. Just like you cut open a peach. Imagine that scent lightly covering your body. I love peaches, so does my wife. If there is a choice on a flavored lube or body product, we also go right for the peach. Most times we are disappointed in the scent, but not with this one. The nailed the smell of fresh peaches.

I did not taste this. It is for external use only. Not for pouring on your partner for dessert. DO NOT EAT.

This performed well. Not sure if its the best scrub on the market. We are kind of new to scrubs. She has only tried a few in the past. This one worked and smelled great. The pumice could make scrubbing certain parts of your body slightly uncomfortable. And the scrub seemed to coat your body in a white paste by the time you where done scrubbing. The white paste is a little harder to wash off your body then soap lather. But once you get out of the shower/bath, your body smells great and is sexy smooth.

This comes wrapped in some brown paper. Not box or instructions included. I always get worried when I purchase products like this one (lubes, soap, ect..), because I think they will break or leak in the mail. So far I have been lucky, with the exception of the body mist that kind of leaked in shipping. But the worries are always in the back of my mind. This bottle seems pretty heavy duty. It can withstand some pressure of items sitting on top of it. It will not withstand a drop with any kind of height.

There are also no included instructions with this scrub. I wish every product came with some instructions. Even product I feel don't need any, should come with at least simple ones. It shows me that you care about my safety while using your product.

Like stated above, this smells great. Not only in the bottle, but also on your skin after you step out of the shower. You can tell the difference of softness on your skin after use, assuming you scrubbed with some force behind the washcloth. This product worked for my wife. I am not sure how it compares to other body scrubs, but she loves it and thats all that matters. So when this one runs out, we will be purchasing another.
