Smooth skin, Clogged Razor and Extended Shave Time

eos vanilla shave cream smells like vanilla cake, but left my skin irritated without a close shave and killed even expensive razors. I gave the product away after a few uses. The individual I gave it to threw the product away because he had problems with it as well. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

somewhat useful review
I picked up the eos vanilla shave cream on an impulse because I wanted something that felt luxurious and left my legs smooth. What I ended up with was the kind of smooth you get from mineral oil, a clogged razor, and a weird cream that smells a lot like vanilla cake fresh out of the oven. I don't have sensitive skin, but I never felt like I could get a close enough shave. When using this shave cream in more intimate regions I noticed a lot of irritation that lasted for days from a film that did not rinse off even with a lot of effort, plus the smell did not mix well with my natural, normally not-noticeable fragrance. I naturally have dry, not sensitive skin and this stuff wreaked havoc on it!

I had to rinse my razor constantly because the cream clogged and killed expensive razors after 1-2 uses. Then, I seemed to have an increase in ingrown hair and shave bumps in comparison to just using Ivory Soap on just my legs. If you are going to use this shave cream, use an old fashioned straight razor, either the flip out kind or a safety razor for easy blade replacement. Alternatively you can buy super cheap 1-2 blade disposable razors in bulk and just plan on using each razor once or twice and not having a very close shave.

I ended up giving this shave cream away to a male friend to use on his face after a few uses because I did not like it. I cannot, in good conscience recommend this product to anyone. He later got back to me and said he had to stop using it because it killed his razors after a single use.

I have also found that I have skin problems with other eos products (lip balm) since trying this product, so it is possible that I am allergic to their products, even though they claim to be hypoallergenic.

Awww, I'm sorry you didn't care for this. I love it, but admittedly I don't have very sensitive skin and can use cheap razors without an issue. Thanks for the review!
