So simple!
This item is a great cleaner for all sorts of toys and textures. It gets in creases and crevices with it's thin formula and wipes off for ease of cleaning.Published: March 20, 2009
Pros:
Easy to use, fresh scent, convenient.
Cons:

After using anti-bacterial soap on my toys for many months, I decided to try toy cleaners instead to see if they would clean better or easier than soap. I've used some that caused some pretty bad irritation and I've used some that had a funky smell. I tried this toy cleaner and felt like I had struck gold! It's formula is easy to use, smells great and cleans well. It doesn't leave me irritated and it doesn't take a ton of product to get your toys clean. I'm quite glad I no longer wash my toys with the same thing I use on my hands!
It's a spray on cleaner, making it a lot easier to use than soap. It doesn't require any rinsing. You simply spray on the toy and wipe off. This makes it convenient to keep on the nightstand to quickly clean-up after playtime. The smaller size is great for travel. And I'm all for "on the go" style clean-up for anything! It's safe to use on all toys and doesn't damage any pretty coating your toy may have. When I used anti-bacterial soap, some of my pretty color coats on my toys started to rub off! I haven't had that problem with this toy cleaner.
I also love the smell of this toy cleaner. It doesn't linger long after the toy has been cleaned and wiped, but it smells good during use. I've found a couple cleaners that smelled strange and reminded me of the smell that some toys have fresh out of the box. I wasn't thrilled about that. Luckily this formula is very fresh and clean smelling and not overly perfumed.
This is an excellent product and a staple for any toy user's drawer. It's convenient, easy to use, not irritating in the least and lasts. It is a simple pump spray that is easy to get into every nook and cranny on some of your most textured toys!

I'm still a huge fan of this cleaner, as it's easy to use. It also has a great scent which I love. I still rinse after use as a precaution. I have used it without rinsing the product off and experienced no irritation (and I'm sensitive!). It doesn't take too much to clean the products and has lasted quite well. I still think an anti-bacterial soap is a great idea as well, but out of toy cleaners, this is still my favorite.

What does before & after do.. before you use it?
-
Is it both a lubricant and a sanitizer? how does that work?
-
It is not a lubricant but merely cleans the toys. When the toy is sitting around, it gathers fungal spores, dust, and bacteria.
-
Before you use it it sits there and looks pretty :P
In theory you're supposed to use it before you use your toys and then after you use your toys to ensure optimal cleanness. At least according to the bottle.

Before & After Toy Cleaner...
-
This one got lots of great reviews, but I've got a couple of questions for all you reviewers who use this. The description says you have to "spray, wipe, then rinse" but most of the reviews say no rinsing required. Can you guys confirm there's no residue if you don't rinse? One review mentioned it didn't clean the crevices of textured toys well. Anyone else have that experience? Would you say it replaces the soap & water routine completely?
-
Nah, it doesn't replace soap and water, in my opinion. It may be because I've used soap and water for so long, but I just don't see the benefit to spraying something and then wiping it off. I find the cleaner hard to wipe off on toys w/ texture, and maybe I'm nuts, but then I don't feel like a toy is really clean. It would do in a pinch, but I don't mind soap and water so that's what I go for 90% of the time.

I like the the idea of toy cleaner but I always wondered what exactly you wipe down with? What's a good cloth for that?

Thank you for viewing Before and after toy cleaner – toy cleanser review page!

I'm paranoid about any cleansing product that can be sprayed on and does not require rinsing off. So this cleaner doesn't cause any irritation at all? You can spray it on a dildo, wipe it off, and can go right back to playing and nothing terrible happens? Intriguing....
I've never experienced any problems with it. It's not so much to clean as to kill bacteria. Much like hand sanitizer. I really like to use it before to clean off dust or anything that may have floated around in the air and stuck to it. I use it after just to kill any bacteria, but I WASH my toys as well. It's a very thin formula so a residue isn't left on the toy after the product is wiped off. I use coffee filters for this to reduce lint. I usually try to rinse it off right before I use a toy anyway, but sometimes I don't. This has never caused any irritation problems for me and I'm pretty sensitive.
nice review!
