This simple mitt came in a plastic bag. The one we got is dark colored unlike the white in the picture. I imagine that the color is entirely random what you get when you order this. While the package is basically a plastic envelope we still store it in the package when not in use. It keeps dust off it and stuff from falling on it by accident won't damage it. Its 9.5 inches long and 5.5 inches long. This product is made with real rabbit fur so if you don't want real fur this isn't for you.


When you first pull this out of the package its really stiff, hard to bend but after a little while it gets much easier to move. The inside is the tanned hide on the underside of the fur, this is rimmed around the opening with a small strip of cloth.


We opted to use this as a massage toy. Trading off rubbing each others backs and chests with this wonderfully silky soft mitt. It does work well as a sensory toy but because it is stiff and fairly sizable it makes it hard to really do any tickling with it. Rubbing the back it glides across the skin like it usually takes massage oil to do. The soft fur adds a soothing sensation that relaxes you and tickles gently at the same time. At one point he even managed to put me to sleep using this.


As this is made of real fur sink washing it really isn't an option. If you've got something on your hands or on your skin, wipe it off. Oil could ruin it. If it does end up with something on it carefully cleaning it off with a paper towel is probably your only option. If it gets really yucky you could always bring it to the dry cleaners, as that's more than likely your only option for getting it really cleaned. That is unless you happen to have experience in cleaning things made with rather lengthy real fur on them. If its just something small (say some hair or crumbs for example) a baby brush should be able to get it out without difficulty.
