Solidly Classic

Digging this tiny little pot of scent out of my purse while washing my hands in a bathroom never fails to lift my spirits. The scents are light, easy to blend, and last for a good long time without overpowering a room. They are gentle on sensitive sinuses, and don't irritate my rash prone skin. All in all for a sophisticated parfum these little pots are top notch!

extremely useful review
I am a sucker for perfume even though I have two partners who have incredibly sensitive sinuses. So I have to be sure that any scent I wear matches with my body chemistry and is light enough that it enhances rather than stands on its own. Besides, you want people to have to get really close to you to smell your gorgeousness rather than fill the room with a scent that might be objectionable! The experience of someone leaning closer and then saying you smell amazing is a wonderful feeling.

When Eden started to carry different solid perfumes I was very happy. I have always found that solid perfumes are the easiest to keep a scent exactly where you want it since an aerosolized perfume sprays willy nilly. Often after spraying even the mildest scent into the air my partners will sneeze and be miserable after entering the bedroom. Solid perfume, or roll on, is also the easiest to layer without over perfuming yourself.

The Solid Parfum by Not Soap Radio has quickly become my favorite set of scents. Yes, as usual when I like the idea of a product I bought the whole set! The three scents offered by EdenFantasys are light, complex and last for hours growing sweeter and more subtle the longer I wear them. They are also easy to layer for even more complex and rich scents.

Honestly, can you beat this ingredient list? Macadamia Oil, Coconut Oil, Beeswax, Jojoba Oil, Fragrance, Mica. Nothing hard to pronounce; nothing requiring a chemistry degree to understand. Plain, natural and nothing to raise allergy concerns unless you are just really unlucky! These are all oils so they do tend to cling to the body but a wash with hot water and soap will remove all traces.
The perfume doesn't leave an oily feeling on the skin just a smooth and soft patch. It's great for smoothing into the elbows and heels even! Just remember that a little goes a long way. Personally, I wear the perfume behind my ears, on the pulse points of my wrists and if I am feeling really daring behind my knees. Oh, I know, I am a wild child, right?

Walking the Red Carpet has a heavy citrus base and smells fresh and clean. It blends well with my body chemistry leaving a bit more of a musky tone with the citrus base. It is sophisticated and just begs to be worn during those times you really dress up.

Meditating in a Zen Garden has a very spicy smell. It reminds me of good quality chai tea and of Indian food. The smell is reminiscent of herbal shops and it doesn't mix as well with my body chemistry; rather, it remains true to it's scent on my body. I'm ok with this and this is one of my favorite scents overall. It is not at all flowery but is warm and spicy. I prefer wearing this whenever I am in need of some relaxation during a hectic day.

Island Hopping also has a citrus base but as you would expect from and "island" scent it has heavy pineapple and coconut milk scents. It is the most mellow and blends easiest with the body chemistry. It can be layered with a more flowery perfume and will impart a complex fruit and flower scent that really reminds me of a tropical fruit and flower stand. I was hoping for a more exotic scent from this one but it is really just a less pungent copy of the Red Carpet scent. Don't get me wrong, I love both scents, and there is a difference that is easily discernible, but they aren't radically different. I find that these two scents can be blended together to create a lovely fresh scent that lasts longer than any one of the perfumes worn singly.

The Solid Parfum arrives in a clear plastic, .51 fl oz pot with a silver or black plastic, screw top, lid. The lid has a paper sticker detailing the scent you've chosen and pictures that fit the theme of the scent. The perfume is solid, of course, and creamy white. It doesn't melt easily in hot weather and goes on very thin. You will not want a whole lot on any pulse point and freshening it later is the best bet so that you don't over perfume your skin. A single pot will last for quite a long time which makes it very good bang for the buck.

I was so impressed by this product that I was waiting to do the review to see if EdenFantasys would carry some of the other scents offered by Not Soap Radio. Alas it does not seem to be forthcoming, but I do recommend the three we do offer!
Follow-up commentary
The scent hasn't begun to degrade and the cream is still just as light and creamy as it was when I originally opened the tub. It's almost gone though...
