Splash Into Clean Skin With No Irritation

I'm a sensitive girl. Every feminine wash I've tried has given me an infection of some sort. I figured I was just doomed to suffer if I wanted to be clean. Then I found Sliquid and their lovely line of products formulated for sensitive skin. After a few weeks of use, I am happy to report that I have not had a yeast infection or UTI since I started this product. It didn't control odor completely, but I'll give it a pass because no other wash did either and they all worked less so than Splash

Use

It's hard to find feminine wash that won't irritate sensitive skin. Luckily, Sliquid has created Splash - a feminine wash free of nasty ingredients that can cause irritation and yeast infections. It helps remove odor causing bacteria and is "balanced to match a woman's PH," as per Sliquid's website. In other words, you can smell nice and not suffer for it the next day.

You should check the ingredient listing before using, but there should be no ingredients to irritate most users.

While Sliquid is marketed as a feminine wash, I'm sure guys could use this as well. There is an unscented version that might be better for guys, since the Cucumber Melon I have is a decidedly girly smelling product.

As an added bonus, especially to me as a vegetarian, Sliquid products are 100% vegan. So you can wash up with a clear mind that no animals were harmed so you could smell fresh.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Splash's consistency is similar to a non-creamy body wash, but a little runnier. If I put a quarter size amount in my hand, it will go on in a blob and fairly quickly begin to run down my hand. This means you have to lather it pretty quickly or risk losing product in between your fingers. It does make it easy to pour out of the bottle. I've never had an issue getting too much product, despite the slightly watery consistency.

Here's the product in my hand. It took me a few shots to get this, so you can see how it's starting to run down my hand some.

A small amount goes a long way and lathers up beautifully. I never have to use more than a small amount, a little more than dime sized, to get the right amount of suds. The amount you see in the previous picture created the lather you see in this one. Note that it was lathered between two hands so my other hand was washed off. This represents about half of the lather you get from that amount of product.

This rinses off with ease. I always make sure to rinse a little extra, even with the lovely ingredient list, out of habit for fear of infection. There is no soapy after feeling once this product is rinsed off.

Taste / Aroma

The version of Splash I have is Honeydew Cucumber. All I can smell is the melon. It smells like a mixture of a little watermelon and a lot of honeydew. I feel like I'm bathing in a fruit salad, which I personally really like. The scent lasts for a decent amount of time. I can smell it for a little while after I shower, but no longer than thirty minutes. I prefer for feminine washes not to stick around too long. I'd hate for my crotch to smell different than the rest of me and have people wondering why I have perfume in my girl parts. Just a personal issue of mine.

The scent is strong while in use. It fills the entire bathroom in melon-y goodness. It overpowers my weaker body wash scents.

I didn't taste this. Sorry! I figure it tastes like soap and I'm not one to put soap in my mouth on purpose.

Performance

I got this in my never ending attempt to control odor and sweat caused by medications that I'm on. While I use this in conjunction with other products, I do test them separately to make sure that the product I'm testing is the one that's working. While this was not a cure all product, I did notice a significant difference in ability to control feminine odor and some perspiration.

What I really liked about this product is that I did feel a lot cleaner with this than I did with a Vagisil or Summer's Eve product. What's even better is that I experienced no irritation after weeks of use. Usually, just about any soap product will give me either a yeast infection or UTI. I'm always hesitant to make changes because of this, but the ingredient list seemed safe enough so I decided to take the chance.

Packaging

The packaging is simply the bottle. The front says "Splash" in big letters with "Sliquid" underneath it. It says "honeydew cucumber" at the bottom and "gentle feminine wash." The side has a little bullet point list of what the product does and that it's glycerin and paraben free. The other side has "The Sliquid Promise" on it and the ingredients.

Since it says "feminine wash" on it, people will know what this is for if they read it. However, the brand is not as recognizable as those that advertise on TV, so a quick glance will probably not reveal what this is. It looks like a nice body wash at first look, so unless someone is being super nosey in your shower, they shouldn't know that this is for your private areas.

Special Features

I'll take this space to go over the ingredient list, since that's a special feature to me.

Purified Water - Well, water.

Cocoamphoacetate - A biodegradable mild amphoteric surfactant made from fatty acids from coconut oil.

Coco Amide - Coconut fatty acid.

Sea Salt - Also self explanatory.

Citric Acid - A weak organic acid used as preservative.

EGMS - Ethylene Glycol Monostearate - Organic compound. It is the ester of stearic acid and ethylene glycol.

Essential Oil Fragrances - Who knows?

Potassium Sorbate - Potassium salt of sorbic acid. Used as preservative.

Check for possible interactions or sensitivities, as always. This is a pretty solid ingredient list. No parabens, no glycerin. I'm prone to issues with both of those and soap products in general and had no issues with this product.

Experience

I got this in an attempt to both control odor caused by medications as well as to stop the constant cycle of UTIs and yeast infections caused by normal washes. Before this product, what I had to do was get a regular product and force a tolerance to it. So I'd use it and just deal with the infections until finally my body got somewhat used to it and got infections less from the product. Fun, right? It was that or not wash, as I didn't shop online and was limited to what the super market had to offer. When I saw this, I was overjoyed. A product that I didn't have to force upon my body? Hooray!!

This product was a huge win. I had not one infection from this, even when I first switched over. While it didn't completely control odor and sweat, I'm willing to forgive it that as that's a medication problem that's overcome only with a combination of multiple products, this one included.

This gets five stars from me, simply for not giving me any type of infection. This is the first feminine wash I have EVER had that has not caused a problem for me. I'm so thrilled to have this product in my shower and will never be without it again. I would recommend this to everyone, especially those who have had bad luck in the past with soaps and washes due to sensitive skin.

I am super prone to infections, so the fact that this works for you makes me want to try it out! I would have gone for unscented if anything, just to be extra careful, but if the scents are safe, fantastic! Also, it's vegan?!
