Before and after toy cleaner - toy cleanser by Classic Erotica - review by Newlyinclined

The Before and After toy cleaner by Classic Erotica that you get in the mail looks a bit different than the one pictured on EF's site. The labeling is different: some nice blues with a splash of water as the graphic. It says exactly what it is: Classic Erotica, Before & After, Adult Toy Cleaner, Anti-Bacterial, Soap-Free Formula, Clean Fresh Fragrance. Good detail and I certainly won't mistake this spray bottle for anything else now, but so won't my housemates. They wouldn't even have to squint to read what's on the bottle to realize what this is. So I wouldn't leave this toy cleaner lying around the house, in the common bathroom, or just sitting about in your room if you're trying to keep things secret.

The water-based formula inside is clear and has a rather thin consistency--like water--which makes it easy to spray and then spread over your toys. The spray nozzle on top also delivers a fairly spread out spray of the formula. I've seen in other reviews that they say that one spray might be enough, but I like being thorough so I sprayed two or three times, along the entire length of my toy, and gave it a good rub. Don't worry about being too liberal with the cleaner though, not only will it last for a while, but it's much cheaper compared to the other toy cleaners out there.

I had no trouble cleaning off any residue from my sessions. With just one spray and rubbing while rinsing, my toy felt squeaky clean, looked brand new, and smelled amazing. Not only does it leave your toy smelling clean, it gives your bathroom a nice clean scent as well. I also haven't had any issues with irritation after using this on my toys. Classic Erotica really does keep to its "NO HARSH SOAPS" claim.

If you're looking to sterilize glass/silicone/metal toys, this probably isn't going to do the trick. This toy cleaner is likely good for in between your own sessions--definitely not in between different users' sessions. Still, boil/bleach if you're doing that and use a condom.

When it comes to packaging, I received this toy cleaner with two new toys and some lube that I bought. The bottle was wrapped in a clear plastic bag and taped shut. Nothing was damaged, there were no leaks, and I could start using the toy cleaner right away! A great investment and a great product. While the Before & After toy cleaner doesn't eliminate a trip to the bathroom for cleaning before and after sessions, it does make them very simple, quick, and enjoyable. I just wouldn't leave the bottle lying around in the open.

PS: Travel-wise, you'd want to put this into your check-in luggage since it doesn't fall under the 3.4 oz or less policy of the TSA for carry-on. I traveled with this snug between my clothes luggage and it came out unscathed and without leaking.
