This Body Mousse is a wonderful, long lasting moisturizer. Right out of the shower, a quick pick me up or a sweet smelling mood lift--it is your delectable decision for how you want to enjoy this thick, velvety lotion!

I love the long lasting aroma, soft, silky skin and the feel of the thick and creamy lotion gliding into my skin. Place the bottle in a bowl of hot water for a warm and comforting mini massage after a shower, this feels like a sweet, pampering spa treatment.

Massage some into your skin after a shower, on shaved legs, into your feet after soaking them or before a long, steamy seduction. The sweet aroma and moisturizing properties of the mousse makes this a worthy lotion that leaves you feeling sweet, seductive and glowing! I am loving the mousse and cannot recommend it enough!

The lotion is creamy, white and is very thick. It stays in place nicely allowing you time to put the bottle down prior to rubbing into your skin. I found the thick, non-greasy formula to be pleasant and silky after application. There was no oily feeling after rubbing it in unless I used too much--which happened the first time I used this lotion!

With this being a mousse, it has a slightly whipped texture and only a small amount is needed to moisturize a large area of your body. I start with a dime sized dab of lotion and add more where necessary. For dryer areas of skin, this product may not moisturize as much as you wish, but it does help and the long lasting formula will give you a good value for the money. The aroma also lasts for hours along with the soft, silky, smooth, moisturizing effects on your skin.

Aroma:
Sweet, warm, vanilla scented, fresh baked waffle cones...gently teasing your nose as it wafts out of the ice cream shoppe on the corner. Your mouth watering, you turn the corner and go in unable to resist the welcoming, comforting aroma...

The Desserted Island Lotion by Cake will tease the senses of those wearing this lotion and everyone who gets close enough to smell the delicious aroma lightly clinging to your soft, lotioned skin. Very light and sweetly scented but enticing and comforting, this has to be one of the most delicious aromas I have had in a lotion. (And, yes, I did have to go get an ice cream cone after wearing this for about half an hour!)

The aroma will last a good 6-8 hours and even though it is not overly powerful or strong, it is very light and pleasing. It also sets a good base smell for other light fragrances and goes wonderfully with those that have citrus or coconut tones. I love using this lotion as an accent to light, fruity perfumes.

Taste:
This lotion is not recommended for ingesting or eating. I did taste this, but believe me, it was NOT intentional! After applying the lotion I had a huge sneeze and covered my mouth. Forgetting that I had lotion on my fingers, I licked my lips a couple minutes later and had a strong, oily, chemical taste on my lips. The taste was very repelling and highly disgusting. I would not apply the lotion to areas that you are hoping to receive oral pleasures, kisses or nibbles by your partner within the next half hour or so...

The lotion worked well to moisturize my lightly dry skin and to add a light and sweet fragrance to my body. I apply this after shaving, as an all over moisturizer and on my feet after soaking them. The moisturizing properties of this lotion is better than many store brands, but does not go as deep as some of the greasier ultra moisturizers. This does contain Glycerin--so there may be allergy issues.

My elbows, knees and heels did not benefit as much from this lighter lotion as the rest of my body. The lotion has many natural oils that penetrate quickly, leaves your skin feeling soft and silky and does not leave a greasy or oily film on your skin after applying it thoroughly. If you use too much, there will be a slippery feeling until it absorbs, but this is normal for any lotions.

There were no stains or oily marks on my lingerie, bedding or clothing after applying this lotion. I do notice a bit more rubbing to get the lotion fully applied, but that little added massage left my skin glowing and made me feel very relaxed. It does wash off if you do it immediately after applying. Once it absorbs, you can remove the scent but not the effects of the lotion.

Desserted Island Body Mousse is packaged in a large, 8.5 ounce bottle that will last a long time. Use a small amount, this lotion is generously moisturizing and larger amounts can leave you feeling slippery until it is absorbed by your skin.

The bottle is pretty without being pretentious and will look nice on any bathroom counter. This has a flip top dispenser for ease of use and is very easy to open, even with wet hands from the shower! Lightly squeeze the bottle and the lotion will come out smoothly and stay in place while you set the bottle down.

It is a bit large for traveling, but could be placed in a zip lock bag and put in an overnight case as long as you are not traveling by airplane. This is over the size allowed. As long as the dispenser top is firmly closed, this should not leak.
