This toy was definitely designed
The Bedroom Game is a simple, if uninspired, card game for the bedroom. It is packaged in a sturdy purple box, and contains one colored die and 90 color-coded category cards. The premise is as simple as you can get—roll the die, and pick and act out a card of the corresponding color. That is it. Each color of card has a different theme. The themes are “Sex and Sex Positions,” “Foreplay and Romance,” “Role-play and Fantasy,” “Edibles and Body Toppings,” “Bondage and Fetish,” and “Tickling, Teasing and Seduction.”
The cards are die are color-coded, but there is no artwork to speak of in this game. Each card contains a very brief description of the activity you or your partner is to perform. One thing that severely irritated me about this set is that there are several typos on the cards—obvious mistakes that could have been easily corrected.
One serious drawback to this game for the casual player is that many props are needed, from food to
body paints to
vibrators and
massage oils, and are not included. Even so, most of the suggestions are ho-hum at best, except for the absolute beginner to sex games. They include selections like food play, using a vibrator on your partner, blindfolding your partner, dressing seductively, and making your partner your “sex slave” (without any suggestions for doing so).
Where this deck really fell short for me, though, was in the “Sex and Sex Positions” category. There are no illustrations, and really no sexual positions to speak of. Instead, the category contains suggestions like any position of your partner’s choice; face-sitting; having sex in a new room, or anywhere but on the bed; and exploring your partner’s body. Not quite “sexual positions”!
Overall, this game might be good for the beginner, but for those experienced with
sex games or more adventurous sexual play, it falls seriously short.
I revise my original review--this game is not good even for the beginner. It pretty much sucks. There are so many better options out there in terms of sex games and books of sexual suggestions. Hell, you'd be better off writing down your own ideas on a set of index cards and drawing them at random than you would with this "game."
