The Easy Way to Clean
I am working on my second bottle of this cleaner because it is just - that - good. It's a quick, easy, and convenient way to get toys clean.Published: September 30, 2011
Pros:
Quick and easy, fresh-smelling.
Cons:
Slightly pricey.
Keep this cleaner by the bed, or wherever you like to use your toys. It is so easy to use. Just spray on and wipe off. There is no need to travel to the kitchen or bathroom sink to wash your toys with this cleaner around. Use it before and after play to keep your toys fresh and clean.
This is the first and only toy cleaner I have ever bought. Why would I need another? The ease of use for the Before and After toy cleaner is a huge selling point for me. I am not one who really wants to be running to the kitchen or bathroom to freshen up toys when it is playtime, and I certainly don't want to have to go to another room to clean the toys after playtime. With this cleaner, I don't have to leave the room. As long as Simply spritz the toy with the cleaner, and wipe it off with a towel, and the toy is ready to go! The convenience of the spray cleaner is a very strong selling point. Who wants to spend extra time cleaning?
The cleaner is also antibacterial, so no worries about that! It doesn't take a whole lot of the product to clean your toys either, so even though it is a bit expensive, you are not going to be constantly replacing it, so it is worth the money in the long run. My current bottle is only the second I have purchased in three years, and that is with frequent usage.
The product comes in two sizes, four ounces and eight ounces. The price difference is minimal. Go ahead and buy the larger bottle. It doesn't appear to "go bad."
This is a fast, easy way to clean your toys, and it does the job well. I wouldn't buy anything else.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
Nothing has changed here. I still think that this cleaner is the way to go. It is convenient, reasonably inexpensive for the amount of use you get out of it, and does the job well. I use my Before and After toy cleaner all the time, and I can't imagine switching to something else. Wipes seem much less economical, and the sink is all the way in the other room. My Before and After cleaner stays right beside me, where it should be.

What does before & after do.. before you use it?
-
Is it both a lubricant and a sanitizer? how does that work?
-
It is not a lubricant but merely cleans the toys. When the toy is sitting around, it gathers fungal spores, dust, and bacteria.
-
Before you use it it sits there and looks pretty :P
In theory you're supposed to use it before you use your toys and then after you use your toys to ensure optimal cleanness. At least according to the bottle.

Before & After Toy Cleaner...
-
This one got lots of great reviews, but I've got a couple of questions for all you reviewers who use this. The description says you have to "spray, wipe, then rinse" but most of the reviews say no rinsing required. Can you guys confirm there's no residue if you don't rinse? One review mentioned it didn't clean the crevices of textured toys well. Anyone else have that experience? Would you say it replaces the soap & water routine completely?
-
Nah, it doesn't replace soap and water, in my opinion. It may be because I've used soap and water for so long, but I just don't see the benefit to spraying something and then wiping it off. I find the cleaner hard to wipe off on toys w/ texture, and maybe I'm nuts, but then I don't feel like a toy is really clean. It would do in a pinch, but I don't mind soap and water so that's what I go for 90% of the time.

I like the the idea of toy cleaner but I always wondered what exactly you wipe down with? What's a good cloth for that?

Thank you for viewing Before and after toy cleaner – toy cleanser review page!

Wow, nice revieW! I can't believe how long this stuff lasts. One reason I never buy toy cleaner is because I assumed it wouldn't last long and with the prices they are I steer clear! Lol. But this sounds really good. I HATE having to go back and forth to clean toys too. That makes this sound like a good purchase. I liked your review. I might just try this out. Oh, does it have a scent and what are the ingredients?
Thank you! This is my first review, so that is nice to hear
These are the ingredients...
Base: Water
Ingredients: Deionized water, Cocamidopropyl, PG-Dimonium Chloride Phosphate, Benzyl Alcohol, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance
The scent is very light. I can't exactly say what it smells like, other than fresh and clean.
Can it be used on all toys, or only on certain types?
It can be used on all toys, but take care with those that are not waterproof/have electrical parts. You don't want to short anything out
Thanks Ms. N for the review! I agree with Kendra, I am surprised it would last that long! I've been wanting to get a toy cleaner like this but still haven't. I'll have to be sure to get one on my next order. Thanks for taking the time and sharing your thoughts!
Good first review, welcome to EF!
Thanks for the review!
Thanks, everyone! And yes, Sktb007, it will last through many, many play sessions
nice review
Thanks
Once my toy cleaner is empty. I'm going to buy this product. Thank you for the review.
You really should. It is very convenient. It might make a good birthday present
