Wahl 2-Speed massager kit - wand massager by Wahl Clipper Corporation - review by P'Gell

My Man and I bought this toy when perimenopause made my previous hair trigger orgasmic ability more challenging and Climax became difficult even for good quality battery operated vibrators. We bought several phallic vibrators (more on those later) and but for something with even more power than a battery operated vibe we looked at the Hitachi (which we have bought since) and decided to go with the Wahl first. It has since been named "The Mixmaster" in honor of its looks and multipurpose functionality. It is one of our top two favorite sex toys.

For one, it's a fun toy. There are 7 different attachments, all stimulate in slightly different ways. Simply choosing which attachment to use is fun and interesting (you can try closing your eyes and just grabbing into the bag, and then using the attachment you've then grabbed.) The handle only has two speeds ("OMG" and "AUGHGHGHG") but that really is enough. The vibrations of this "coil style" massager are deep and rumbling, unlike the more "buzzy" vibrations of the Hitachi and some other toys. We prefer the deeper, thrumming feel of the Wahl. After a while you may find 3 or 4 attachments which work the best for your body style and your sex preferences.

None of the attachments included are specifically made for penetration, but simply placing one of the attachments against the side or bottom of a penetrating toy can turn THAT toy into a deep thrumming vibrator. There is a suction cup attachment which can be used with flat bottom dils, or you can just place any attachment on the bottom or side of a penetrating toy. The motor is so strong that it can be placed on or near one's clitoris or on the pubic bone and also have the vagina, anus and thighs stimulated, as well. My partner can feel the vibrations either when penetrating me while I am using this toy clitorally, so it is a true multipurpose toy.

Placing a selected attachment on the handle and selecting a location for "massage" will be different for every person or every couple. We use it after a period of stimulation to bring me to Climax, while my Man uses hands, toys, mouth, penis or whatever for different types of penetration and additional stimulation. We find as soon as the Climax reaches its peak, removing the toy and moving back to oral, vaginal or anal sex keeps the climax going for a LONG time. When you get used to using the toy, vaginal or anal sex can be combined with its use, or a penetrative toy can be used vaginally or anally while the Wahl is placed on or near the genitals.

The Wahl is also VERY quiet, which is a plus for those with children, who have roommates or who live in dorms or communal living situations.

The Wahl also works well as a regular muscle massager. It is easy to manipulate, it fits well in the hand and its thrumming massage works out kinks (of any kind) and aches.

This is also a great toy for quick or slow solo play. It's quiet, efficient and although it's not "pretty" it nearly always gets the job done.

We are very satisfied with the Wahl 7 in 1 massager, for sex and all around body play.

The body and handle of this toys is hard plastic, but ergonomically designed so it fits in the hand well. It is easy to operate one handed (a real plus with sex toys) and the two speed slider is easy to use. The attachments are different types of plastic, some hard some soft. I am allergic to latex, so a plain plastic toy was our best choice. (Too bad Wahl doesn't make silicone attachments for this toy. We would buy them right away.)

The toy has no smell or taste. Another plus for adult toy play.

The only down side is our favorite attachment has become loose on the handle and sometimes comes off during play. I am wondering how to fix this bothersome but not major issue.

The size and weight are perfect for a hand held, A/C sex toy. It is not too big, and the handle is easy to hold. The handle does vibrate some, which may bring some numbness with extended use, and it does have a tendency to get hot if used for a long time. But, the shape is perfect for either solo play or play with a partner, and with other toys.

The Wahl is very discreet, as it looks like a regular body massager. We keep it in a medium sized make up bag, already plugged in, with the cord out the corner of the bag, all zipped up, in my night stand. I would have no problem bringing this on a trip, either by car, train or airplane. One does need an electrical outlet to use this toy, however.

I have no idea if it is adaptable to European plugs.

I know I wouldn't leave home overnight without the Wahl.

The thrumming, strong vibrations transmit well right to the attachments. The vibes are deep and heavy and carry well through the body of the toy to the attachments to your body parts. The control slider is perfectly placed, I can turn it off in the middle of a Climax, and so my partner can start other stimulations for extended Climax without even thinking about it. The switch is a two speed slider. Easy to use and easy to turn off and on, it is just heavy enough to feel like a high quality toy but light enough and small enough to not interfere with sex play.

This is one of the most quiet sex toys on the market, especially for a large A/C massager, which is usually loud and conspicuous. This one is quiet and discreet.

This toy is NOT meant for water play. It is an A/C toy with a cord which plugs into an electrical socket. DO NOT use in water situations.

I use a sex toy cleaner on the body of the toy and the cord and wash the attachments in hot water and soap. We use a water based lube during sex, and this toy is compatible with this. It can be used to "power" other sex toys, as the vibrations are strong, and even has a suction cup attachment which would be perfect for a flat bottom dildo.

It arrived in a cardboard box, which was adequate for shipping. It could be stored in the box, but we prefer a cosmetic bag or an X LG Sugar Sac for long term storage, with the plug kept plugged in the wall so it is ready to use a a seconds need.

Some women have a High Orgasmic Threshold, which means it sometimes takes a lot of stimulation and time to help us find our Orgasm. My Orgasmic Threshold increased when I got into Peri-menopause and my hormones and clitoral sensitivity changed. This particular toy works well for people with High Orgasmic Thresholds, because it can be used after and during manual, oral, toy or penile stimulation, help bring you to Climax and then the toy can be put aside and sex play continues almost seamlessly.

The vibrations are so strong that it can transmit through your body to your partner's (if you are using a partner at that time) and this can be stimulating for both of you.

The fact that it is quiet and discreet is good for people with children (we add a white noise machine to our children’s bedrooms, for additional privacy) or those who live in group living environments.

I can say this toy has probably saved our sex life. When my previous hair trigger climax ability waned in recent years due to perimenopause, we tried medications, "regular" vibrators (fun, but don't usually get me all the way there) and often either we both got exhausted bringing me to climax or I would give up in frustration and tears. This toy is VERY strong, and good for the "hard to come" woman or man. The lower setting is also good for a quick orgasm for even those who climax easily.

Using it as a muscle massager is also something we do frequently. My Man and I use it frequently for this purpose, as well, but we've become sexualized to the sound, so this nearly always leads to other things. It's all good.

We can almost seamlessly incorporate this toy into our sex play so that my first orgasm happens more easily (continued orgasms are not a problem for me, once the first climax is reached) and this toy has reduced my frustration immensely.

The "Bulls Eye" "Ripple Square" and "Bullet" attachments are my favorite attachments for sex play.
