The "Mixmaster" gets the job done, a true multi purpose toy
Because it is easy to use, relatively inconspicuous and very strong, I feel this toy saved our sex life. I worry less about "not coming" I know I won't wear out my partner, yet we can still engage in ALL the activities in the bedroom we did before, we just have a little help near my first orgasm from this toy. The vibrations are just right to help me find my orgasm, so our sex life can continue happily.Published: June 18, 2010
Pros:
Easy, Multi-use, Strong Vibrations, many attachments, easy to store, discreet VERY quiet
Cons:
May get hot, Very Industrial look. attachments can come loose. May be too strong for some.

The Wahl 7 in 1, 3 Speed massager is still working well, and doing a great job for us. I have come to the definite conclusion that although "buzzy" vibes are fun, and are certainly very stimulating, my personal taste, at least for climaxing, are the deep, throbbing vibrations of the Wahl. Of course, your mileage may vary. Most women enjoy several different types of vibrations and stimulation. I've simply found this to be, not my only toy, but at least my favorite.
I have taken to, in addition to thoroughly cleaning the attachments I use at each session with hot water and mild soap, using Cal Exotics Toy Cleaner for the body of the toy. As it has a wall plug, washing it with anything more than minimal water always worried me. The Cal Exotics, sprayed either directly on the body of the toy, avoiding the slider switch and the stem where the attachments are placed, or sprayed onto a paper towel or soft cloth, cleans the toy well. I then clean the cord and turn on the machine, to get under the switch. Every few cleans, I use a damp washcloth, with a small amount of soap on it and clean carefully then rinse with a barely damp washcloth.
I store it exactly the way I have always, and it is handy at the side of our bed.
We have also been using it more and more for back, neck and body massages, trying different attachments to see what works for what aches and pains.
Although I also have a Hitachi, this Wahl remains the workhorse of our sex toy collection. It is a multipurpose instrument, well made; it stands up to our frequent use, (often one to two uses a day) even occasionally being dropped on the carpeted floor when my hand gives out after an orgasm, and I want HIM back there. As well as also being used several times a week for actual massages.
I am actually thinking of purchasing a second one. My fear is my first Wahl will "die" (although it is a really sturdy toy, and some people have had the same one for 20 years, before they needed to replace it) and I won't be able to wait the 3 days for shipping. Also, we will then have an extra, for the occasional travel use etc.
We still have the problem with one of the attachments occasionally coming off during use. This is quite frustrating. I'm not sure what to do about it, as I fear doing anything to the stem of the massager may compromise the vibrations. It is easily put back on the toy, but it sometimes then takes longer to regain the momentum. Also, it would be nice if Wahl (or someone else) comes out with additional attachments. Perhaps similar to what Hitachi has done. In addition to different clitoral heads, perhaps something that is suitable for penetration.
All in all, this was and is a fantastic toy. It is indispensable in our bedroom, and I believe I will have one at my bedside for the rest of my life.

wahl for someone who needs to be discreet?
-
i'm considering giving my partner some special gifts for her birthday next year and introducing her to toys (she's not nearly as adventurous as i am.) i want a classic vibrator for her so that she can familiarize herself with what she likes, and the wahl massager looks pretty perfect for that.
her bedroom is upstairs in an old house and i'm wondering if, from anyone who has experience with the massager; it could be heard downstairs when being used in an upstairs room. i don't have any way to test with toys of my own, as my house is very different from hers and we're rather long-distance right now. i want to gift her something awesome, not something that could lead to an awkward situation with her family )8
any experiences with the noise the wahl makes would be appreciated! the same goes for other classic/versatile vibrators. thanks! -

If she is unfamiliar with toys, however, this may be too strong. Although not as quiet, a kit like this may be less intimidating. That aside, I LOVE my Wahl and think every woman should own one so it's now or later for your partner : )

yeah, the power may prove too much for her. i know she has sensitivity problems like i do (where she needs a LOT of stimulation) but i don't know what her definition of 'strong' vs 'too strong' would be, especially only having used her hands before!
the beginner kit looks ideal, but she has a really limited cashflow and keeping it in batteries would be hard :( maybe i'll surprise her with a mia instead? it's rechargeable, and while it's not as versatile as an insertable it would probably be way less intimidating than the wahl for now :D

Which Wahl Massager is best?
-
I haven't seen any comparison threads yet. Which one is the most powerful? Which one has the best features?

Quote: I haven't seen any comparison threads yet. Which one is the most powerful? Which one has the best features?i don't own any of these (although i'll probably collect them in the future :P) but from what i understand they're all about equal power; but the wands are more concentrated and loud.

I find the Whal two speed is best for one reason, the pounding high setting which is the best I've experienced. I haven't found any other vibrator with the same vibration frequency and including the other Whals.

Good Vibrations

I'm done with the battery scene and looking for something more substantial but I want a vibrator with the right type of vibrations. One review said this product had a "buzzy" setting opposed to the Hitachi with deep throbbing vibrations. What are other comments on they type of vibrations this massager has? Living in a dorm, I need a more quit toy than the Hitachi but would also prefer the deep vibes. Thanks very much for the input

Thanks very much for the inputI have not used the hitachi, so I can't compare, but I would describe this one as "buzzy".
It is quiet when muffled but I still wouldn't use it with a roommate in the room! I would look into the Mystic Wand as well before I made a purchase. Or one of the Fairy Massagers. Good luck! -

I don't know about the type of vibrations, but again I have heard/read very positive thing regarding the wanachi, mystic wand, and fairy products!

Material of attachments
-
It seems no one is concerned about the Pthalates in the PVC attachments for this thing (material safety 2). Am I missing something?
-
That's a good question.
I think it's because the attachments are designed for external use only.
:) -
Quote: That's a good question.Well yeah it not designed for "special areas" but if you use it down there it seems like it would be 'unsafe'...? If its just being used on the clitoris and surrounding areas it would still touching porous tissue. I'm just curious since no one mentioned it in their review

Thank you for viewing Wahl 2-Speed massager kit – wand massager review page!

"may get hot" sounds kinda dangerous
comatose-kitty, the handle can get a little warm when used for a long period of time, say an hour or more. It isn't dangerous. It's a coil vibrator motor, and these can get warm when used for a long period of time. They will shut themselves off if too warm.
There's no danger.
GREAT review. c:
