For my 600th review, I decided not to review some super expensive Elite item, or a hugely sought after one. Instead, I decided to review the Erotic Massage Gel from Shunga because using caused the most fun I've ever had with my clothes off. Using it was more fun than reviewing any other item from any company. It's incredibly unique - "A one of a ind fun adventure for sensual lovers!". This kit includes everything you need to create a wonderful smelling gallon on massage goo! It also includes a waterproof sheet. You'll need a few other things to make it into a wrestling ring.

My partner and I had been dating less than a year when we used this for the first time. We really connected through the use of this, and it honestly brought us closer, sexually and otherwise. What started off as a wrestling match ended up as a real sexy skin on skin gliding that could not be recreated (cheaply) without the wonder that is the Erotic Massage Gel from Shunga.

Ingredients of bottle #1: Demineralized water, Glycerin, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, Artificial flavor (aroma), DMDMH, Sodium saccharin, Methyl paraben, Aloe vera, coloring

Ingredients of bottle #2: Demineralized water, Triethanalamine, Methyl paraben

Before you go to make the goo mix, make sure your "play" area is ready BEFORE you start!

You will need a large pot or bowl that can hold a good amount over one gallon (four liters) of liquid. Because it needs to be mixed, you will need splash room.

1) Pour the contents of the first bottle into your pot. The contents of this bottle will be like a gel, so you can add a little water to make sure you get all of it out.

2) Then you need to add 3.5 quarts of lukewarm tap water (~104-112 degrees F). Do not exceed the amount of water asked and do not use hot water. The cool thing is that the bottle the mixes come in are 250 ml bottles. This means that 14 x 250 ml = 3.5 quarts.

3) Add the contents of bottle #2. This bottle's contents are much runnier. Mix all of this together with a spatula or whisk.

As you mix it, you will notice that the concoction will get thicker and thicker. It's very smooth and silky, thick and gel like. It does cool fairly quickly, so I suggest using water on the higher end of the given suggested spectrum if you can. It's also mostly clear, but develops a sort of foam like top coat as you whisk it.

This kit comes in three aromas/flavors, Strawberries & Champagne, Fruit, and Mango / Melon. I've gotten it in all three. The first one we tried was the fruit. It was okay, but the smell got old quickly. The second time we tried it, we chose mango. I was dissapointed in this because I don't feel it smells much like mango, but it is fruity too. Our favorite is the Strawberries & Champagne (pictured). It's the only one we have bought more than once. It's sweet and not too overly artificial smelling. It is strong, though. The smell filled our two bedroom apartment easily and also lingers on the skin. Our towels even smelled of it a bit after being washed for the first time.

These are supposed to be edible, but they really don't taste good. We avoid getting it in our mouths at all costs.

Alright, so what else do you need to do? Again, you should have this part set up BEFORE doing the goo! Or you could have your partner do this while you prepare the gel if you are pressed for time.

1) Find your play surface. It should be a level, flat surface, that is not elevated on a bed (you could fall off). You will need at least 8' x 8'. You can put down a mat for a more cushioned feel if you'd like, but a carpet helps. The down side to carpet is that if the gel spills over, its not as easy to clean up as it would be on a tiled surface.

2) The instructions say to get four large towels, but we end up using 6-8 depending on the towels that are clean. You'll need to roll them and then place them to shape a rectangle or square. Make sure all the towels touch each other or lay over each other. This is going to keep the gel in the "wresting ring". Before the next step, remove anything that could rip the thin included sheet. This can be rings, other jewelry, or lingerie or harnesses with metal hardware. You can wear these things, but you risk ripping the sheet and allowing goo to seep out.

3) Take out the gold enclosed sheet. Cover the towels with the sheet so that it creates a "basin like" shape. This is where you will pour the gel. Make sure there is about 8-12" or extra sheet sticking out to catch anything that goes over board. We have definitely gotten better at making the playing surface. The first time we did it, there was goo everywhere. Since then, we have made minimal mess.


Here is my partner, hiding his face, and holding up the gold sheet the first time we used this about two and a half years ago. We still love and rave about this stuff!

4) Pour in the goo!

5) Turn up the heat and get naked!

The packaging, as will all Shunga products, is well presented and great for gift-giving. All the contents come in one artistic cardboard box. The front of the glossy black box has a Shunga art picture on it of a couple in a sensual embrace. The sides and back of the box have a little bit of information about the product. The front has a panel that opens from the side. This shows the instructions of how to use the Erotic Massage Gel, but there is a separate paper copy inside the box also. The mixes come in pretty block bottles.

Do not un-package this until you are ready to use the kit. It's a nightmare to re-fold!

This kit makes an excellent gift for any couple willing to try something new!

The most fun I've ever had with my clothes off!

After we had it all set up, we didn't really know where or how to start. We imagined that there would be a lot of goo. A gallon actually only makes about two inches deep of the stuff in the pit. It more than plenty, though.

I ended up laying down first and slathered the amazing goo all over my body. I felt incredibly hot with my body in the low lighting, glistening curves, and my nipples completely erect... because it gets cold! The gel does not stay luke-warm for long, so that is why I suggested turning up the heat. We didn't realize this until we were both rolling around completely covered in the goo. This actually caused us to keep our bodies in contact even more since we couldn't make a dash for the thermostat without getting the stuff everywhere. Lesson learned - have everything ready before you dive in!

We straddled each other and gave massages to our backs, butts, and thighs and then rolled over. It was a lot of fun to glide his erection up and down me while he used the gel to glide his entire body over me without effort. This kit is so much fun! We also did a bit of wrestling, tehe.

The only down side is that it is a little tricky to have sex in the goo. We are unsure of how the goo will react internally or if that is safe, so we had planned on wiping him off and then putting a condom on before going at it in the goo. Unfortunately, this plan didn't work out because things were too messy. What we did the second time around is get a female condom. Although, unattractive, it was a lot easier to have sex with that because we didn't have to worry about wiping him off or putting a condom on him with slippery fingers etc. I could just put it in before we even started.

We had so much fun with this, that I bought it for a few friends. It's a truly awesome product!

It's pretty easy to clean up too. We used the extra towels we had set next to us to make a trail to our bathrooms. The goo is easy to wash off in the shower. Afterward, we picked the sheet up by the corner and trapped all the goo in the middle. We then put it in a garbage bag and got rid of it right away. Unfortunately, this is a one time use thing and can't be kept. Remember, you can always buy more than one kit if you want to create an even bigger playing area. This can be used in a tub or jacuzzi without the sheet if you want to as well.

I highly recommend this kit for any adventurous couple! I've never seen anything like it, so I hope Shunga never stops making it!
