You have to plug it in which is a pain (it is not battery operated), but the cord is long enough to be able to position the head just about anywhere. The head is so soft and flexible; you can go a long time without being rubbed raw. It's also one of the more sanitary sex toys.

The material is hard plastic which means Phathlate free, low porosity level, easy to clean, carries vibration well, and most of all, hygienic. Like most sex toys, it's still safer to put a condom on any sex toys you’re sharing. And yes, a large condom will fit the head of the Hitachi. I've done it.

When I first purchased the Hitachi, I’d use it all by itself just for clitoral stimulation. Then I discovered the joy of combining this vibrator with penetration, with a dildo, a finger, or with you partner. It is very easy to use during penetration when in the doggie style position.

The Hitachi has two speeds, "low" and "high" (110-120 volts), though to be honest, low is still pretty high. But it's nice to have options.
