The only white creamy goodness I want smothered all over me!

Overall, a great lotion for multiple uses such as daily moisturizing, or even a nice massage. Great unique scents with a dispensing pump makes for super easy application. This lotion does what it is supposed to do, and leaves the skin moisturized and feeling healthy. As far as the aphrodisiac claim, I am not affected, it seems.

Use

Lotions have always been a bit of a touchy product for me to use over the years, mainly because there are so many bad ones out there. Long story short, most lotions I have used leave me feeling greasy or oily after applying and often leave my hands feeling sweaty. Dona body lotion is different in the sense that it is a full body lotion designed for a quick moisturizer for those who have dry skin. Unlike the body butter by Dona that is very thick, rich, and heavy, the body lotion is a much thinner base that you can rub easier into the skin.

Whether you want to use this daily by yourself or involve a partner, the choice is yours but I will say that massaging is fun with this product. It is watered down and thin like most lotions, allowing it to glide and spread easily over the skin allowing for nice deep massages that smell great. You should, however, realize that this is not an all-day long-lasting lotion. If you apply it when you wake up, you will find the need to re-apply a couple of times throughout the day in order to moisturize properly. If your skin is really dry, you may need to switch to something thicker like a body butter. The nice feature is that getting the lotion out is easy using the pump mechanism on the bottle.

To enjoy this lotion even more, it is really nice to layer it with other Dona products. For example, after soaking in Dona bath salts you could apply the body lotion after you dry off preventing your skin from drying up too much. I don't believe too many people will find allergy issues, however, I still would recommend looking at the ingredients and doing a test patch on your skin to be safe. I think there may be glycerin in this product but since I don't have reactions to that ingredient I'm not 100% sure.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The Dona body lotion seems pretty standard and isn't special or different from other lotions. To best describe it, I it's like a cheap non-name brand body lotion, or maybe a sunscreen lotion. It always feels cool to the touch when first applied. If not careful, I have found on the smoothest of skin it will likely run down the surface. Otherwise, rubbing in this lotion isn't a bad experience and does not seem to feel greasy or oily. It also does not leave a residue on my skin. However, it does on my hands and I feel I need to wash them afterwards. Also, if I put a shirt on right after rubbing some into my arms and chest, the lotion will partially rub off into the clothes. I have not experienced any stains, though.

Taste / Aroma

I can't really seem to go wrong with the pomegranate scent in any of these products. It's such a sweet and juicy smell that makes me want to eat it! In the container, and upon first pump, the aroma is very light and subtle. Your nose has to be close to pick it up at all. Once you start rubbing the lotion into your body, it quickly starts to perk up and get stronger, but never reaching an overwhelming point. I think my favorite part is that there is no lotion-like smell to this at all. The pomegranate doesn't seem as sharp in the lotion than in other products I have used by Dona, especially compared to the body butter. It's still sweet, fruity, and has minute hints of floral aroma, but it seems dialed down, a bit more subtle and not so eye-opening.

Performance

Dona body lotion seems to perform very well on my skin for average day-to-day moisturizing. My skin does feel healthier, softened, and smoother, while using this lotion. It is thinner and lighter than body butter, so re-application will most likely be needed for those with very dry skin or living in dry climates. Overall, it seems to absorb quickly and evenly into the skin, leaving only a small residue for a short period of time. After a good 15 minutes everything is absorbed completely and there is no longer a greasy feel to my skin.

I like that it is easy and fast to apply, but because of this it will be used up much faster than thicker lotions. For massages it works pretty well, but after so long you need to re-apply. Thankfully, the aroma is not too overpowering for massaging either. Washing it off the skin seems fairly easy: soap and warm water. However, you will need to thoroughly dry your hands with a towel. This will also allow you to rub off any excess lotion residue into the towel.

Packaging

As you can see on the product page, it comes in a plastic bottle with a pump-top. This is a nice addition, making it easy to dispense but hard to travel with at the same time. Removing some and storing in a small travel container or putting the bottle in a zip-lock bag should make this bottle good to take with you on the go.

The packaging is sturdy and the pump seems to function very well. The bottle is recyclable and re-usable. The lace design and color-scheme make it look attractive. Plenty of information on the label, but because it mentions "aphrodisiac" a couple of times, it might not be as discreet as some would like it.

Experience

I can't say much other than using the lotion makes my skin feel great. It is cool when first applied, but warms and spreads quickly. I have not used any as a jack-off aide and don't plan on it. I have had no allergy concerns and no reactions while using this lotion. I have allowed others to use this and they seem to like it a lot, which in turn means I have to hide it. I have about half a bottle left and it seems to get used up fast when I need to apply often to very dry skin.
