The Remarkable Difference? Not Good

EOS has the aesthetics down, but this is not the product you want for shaving in sensitive areas or if you're really concerned about moisturizing. Try Coochy or Inttimo Shave Kreme Instead, the latter which has a great tester size available. The plain ol' conditioner you probably have also does a better job shaving than this overpriced product.

extremely useful review
I had a little gift card cash to spend, so I opted for this shaving cream. I had the chance to smell it in person, and it smells amazing. I had wanted it since I first smelled it, but I really didn't have a need for it at the time.

When I opened the box, I took a big whiff. This is very sweet and fruity. While it doesn't necessarily smell as strong as some bath products, it's hard to miff. Sensitive sniffers need not apply.

The container is a plastic pump. There's decorative indentations that serve as fingerholds, and while the pump doesn't look into place, the bottle does have a cap. No metal means no rusting, awesome.

The cream is thin and dispensing is easy with the pump. Tubes tend to be messier than this. However, my compliments stop here. It seems like EOS spend all their time on designing the appearance of their product and packaging, focusing on scent while ignoring its actual use.

The cream is so thin, in fact, that is washes right off of my skin with just the slightest hint of water. As I shave in the shower, this is a bad, bad thing. It might work better for a dry shave but let's be honest: who does that? So, the point of a cream is to stay in place, giving your hair enough time to soften for shaving and letting those nutrients soak into your skin.

This isn't so much a problem below-the-knee. I don't have issues with irritation much. I didn't cut myself and the shave was smooth enough. However, my bikini area was a completely different issue. I have used the specialty shaving products for years, because I get bumps and rashes. With the EOS shaving cream, I worked up a rash in an area that hasn't had a rash in years. I totally forgot that it previously was sensitive. My sensitive inner thighs fared a little, but not by much. Even the fantastic shaving creams do require me to use some aftershave protection of some sort. I'm currently using both the spray and powder from Coochy.

As far as moisturizer, nada. Even as I spread it on my legs during a shave, I could tell it wouldn't do a thing. This isn't a huge deal to me as I lotion up after shaving, but it's certainly misleading for this property to be printed on the bottle, in the name and product description. For something that contains shea butter and aloe, I'm surprised.

Finally, the price here on EF is much higher than the MSRP. I wouldn't ever buy it here without a major coupon. It's a lot of money to spend on a mediocre product that is available at many brick and mortar stores for less.
Follow-up commentary
I wound up giving this to someone else. I couldn't deal with the bumps and irritation, which lasted for weeks. The smell is great, but this shaving cream isn't "Ultra" in any way.

Thanks! Disappointing. I liked that there was an unscented version available but I think I'm going to pass.
